You’ve never had “highly touted” teams. Rich rod was like Dana. Had one good player and got out before he was exposed.

Was there a better coach for wvu? Only two I know are Dana and rich rod.

 

Rodriguez had multiple good teams and he left with his squad having a year of eligibility for all of his best players. Rod also could recruit, coach, and game plan.

You seriously have no damn clue what you’re talking about. Just log out. WVU was a top-10 team for several years under Rod before he left. He dropped a bad game that cost him a shot to play for the BCS title game. We were ranked #1 or #2 in both polls, and after that we smoked OU in the Fiesta Bowl.

Dana replaced Bill Stewart who people complained about because he was ho-hum on the sideline but had good assistants and good recruiting. Dana was hired by Oliver Luck to replace Bill so he could have his own coach. Dana’s best team was 100% Bill’s team.

WVU is also 4-3 against UT since joining the B12. Guess that would make UT teams less touted.

 

I apologize for not being up on my wvu history. As far as that 4-3, hey you earned it so you should own that, even if was against some of the worst teams in Texas history with some of your best. But be prepared for that number to change.
And don’t lose faith. I’m sure y’all will get another 10 win season someday.

You’ve won one bowl game since being in the big xii and that was a cactus bowl.
3 top 10 finishes between 2005-2007.
Then we have to go back to 1993 to find a top 10 finish before that.

I’m happy to debate teams and who is better but it’s more fun with facts.

 

So what you’re saying is WVU has been better more recently than Texas, and it’s not really close unless we go back nearly two decades.

Ok you win. You have had a better season record 3 out of the last 5 with Texas going 5-7 two of those seasons . And head to head you have that 4-3 record over Texas. We will ignore the fact that Texas has won 4 bowl games since you’ve been in the big xii. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me.
