I believe it’s port on at port, not positive though, just remember reading something about those things being added at port before trucked to the dealerships.

I have an aftermarket bakflip fibermax one it's nice it's cheaper than the MX4, wish I got the MX4 but it's still nice. That being said if you use your bed a lot to haul crap. Do not get a cover. It's more of a pain in the ass than anything. I recently moved and had to take the cover off bc it kept getting in the way even with it folded all the way up against the back window, you still do not get full access to the bed

I bought a aftermarket tonneau (Velcro one, soft) and it sucked. Granted I only paid 160$ for it but it did the job. Just not very secure as in someone can cut the vinyl portion and stuff what’s in my bed of the truck

I just bought my OR on Friday and it came with the factory tonneau. I haven't used it a whole lot the last few days but so far I don't see any problems. It has rained and I haven't noticed any leaks, and it's covered under warranty for 3 years. I know I wanted a tonneau and I'm not to picky on which one I got, this was already on the truck so it will do for me.

As others stated, it will either come with the truck from the factory or not. I wanted them to add it and they told me they couldn’t, it was a factory option only. I ended up purchasing a BakFlip MX4 and am satisfied with it.1FB0FFFE-CD2C-47D6-94B0-F53F85012F2C.jpg

Thank you for all the replies! I think I'm going to go aftermarket. I saw a few recommendations. I will likely need to take it off once in a while when I need to fill the bed with stuff (mulch, stones, debris). Any easier to deal with than others?

    Thanks, again.

the bakflip has 2 plastic handle nut that just screws on in the front of the bed, fold the bed up remove those nuts and you're good

I'm going to vote none of the above and say Softopper. No need to take it off for most things, and even if you do it only takes a few minutes.

I love my bak revolver x2. I have had them on 2 truck, as well as other brands before the revolver, I wouldn't stray from the revolver x2 after having this one for 3+ years, 2 buddies have them too and love them.
The make a x4 as well , matte finish rather that satin. I have heard several bad reviews on the x4 so definitely go with the x2.
It rolls up easily, locks down every time, is secure, looks great with its super low profile, very durable and strong (I can stand on it. Easy to mount and takes up very little space when rolled up

Depends on how much cash you have after purchase and how tall are the items you have that you want in your bed. The factory tonneau is rolled in the payment.

I like the Tyger tri fold aftermarket I got. It’s light and easy to remove. 5,000 mile road trip to Pacific Nw , Yellowstone, and back. Also stood tall all winter. Heavy snow in the Midwest last winter. BAAB8E1A-1252-4AC2-812F-A618D43E997B.jpg
Cost me $125 on fb marketplace. The factory one is less likely to get stuff stolen from the bed. My soft top with aluminum frame can easily be cut open with a knife. Just remember the bed isn’t as tall as you think! A large marine cooler won’t fit under the tonneau it’s too tall!.

Same cooler we bought from sams club year end clearance 2 years ago. No tonneau, no problem. Taller than the Toyota bed. Also our cube cooler won’t fit.

I stuffed my truck in my past camping trip and those extra few inches that my stuff bulged out the tonneau made a difference. On all that crap we laid blankets and pillows on top and I was glad we had the soft top to stretch some extra room6C9E3AD8-E217-4CF8-8906-A5AADB2239FB.jpg

Get on Craigslist and fb tonight!
I also have my eye on a used bak flip. It folds against back window for full bed use. The OEM tonneau you lose 1/3 of bed if you have it opened

+1 for Bakflip. I have the G2. Ability to fold all the way against the cab is what sold me against the OEM tonneau.

I'm liking what I see with Bakflip. Folding against the cab is exactly what I want. Now, just gotta pick which Backflip......

I got the G2 just because it was a used craigslist deal. Got it for $600 only a month old. Definitely worth a look on Craigslist or FB marketplace

Since we are on bed covers. Does anyone have a camper shell for a 3rd generation camper long bed?

I’ve got the MX4 and like the Matt finish ... I think it matches the top/sides of the bed nicely.

LoMax is pretty solid and can be removed quickly.

Fuck Toyota part dept. go online and find OEM there or make a FAUX one. At Toyota riverside they wanted $1200 and I didn’t even ask if that was for short or long bed it didn’t matter at that point. It’s not a camper shell its a plastic cover. $500-600 maybe.
