    How do I remove a double cab I just bought a 2006 Tacoma double cab the was rolled has king suspension an Camburg arms just wanna replace the cab an aprons how hard is it to remove it still runs and drives just wanna put a new cab

    ok ty is it super complicated I can do basic stuff what all has to come apart the steering the wiring harness an how many cab mounts are there

    Not that difficult. I'm not aware of any Special Tools needs. It will be a great learning experience.

    Basically disconnect everything and lift it off. You're gonna need to evacuate the AC and drain the coolant. You'll need to bleed the brakes with a scan tool when you're done.

    Ty Hobbs an muddinfun !!I seen this video wish it was slower an up close!! I was quoted 1000 to remove the cab then I have to also find another I found one but it sold the same day I’m in riverside ca so I’m sure another will come up

    You also need to have a plan for the legal aspect. You can't just swap your vin tag and sticker onto the replacement cab.

    Pretty sure thats what they did on my first Taco. Vin showed up as a 2002 extra cab long box. It was a 2001 Doublecab TRD OR...

    If I get one at the junk yard or dismantlers it will come with paperwork so I will just reg under new vin should be ok

    OK, just make sure that's clear when you buy the cab. If you get anything less than a signed off title, you may have a problem. A printed receipt or bill of sale may not cut it.

    Now I was wondering if a 2014 double cab cab will fit on a 2006 frame the dismantling places said it is the same bolt pattern but then do all the seats an dash fit too or would I have to replace all that stuff again

    Strictly a guess, but more than likely the cab will bolt to the frame. The issue is going to be the electrical. I'm sure there's going to be lots of differences there.

    Yes I think your right !! Well I just found a double cab 2006 exact year I need with the front aprons 2000 it was a flood damage truck I’m gonna go check it out tomorrow I hope it’s in good shape !! Then my next concern is how do I go about the different cab vin an paperwork I live in California hoping I can just get it reg with no problems anyone else here swap cabs an register it
