Taking a day off work bc of minor leg surgery this AM.

 

Nothing big... have some vein problems in my leg. Had to go in a shut several of them down using a catheter w/ a laser on the tip. They put it in around my ankle, get it up as far into the vein as possible, heat the tip up to like 1000 degrees and pull it out, destroying the vein in the process.

Not a lot of pain... mostly throbbing, but I have to stay off of it today.

Just more pain/pressure. It's come and gone over the years. 3 years ago I almost had the procedure done. The were putting me under and realized that the veins had clotted too much to get the catheter in. They tried some alternate procedures over the next couple of months, but it was less effective.

My right leg is ALWAYS bigger than my left leg b/c the veins in it won't allow the blood to flow back up into my body. There's built-up pressure around my knee all the time, too. It's not terribly painful most of the time, but it's annoying.

Hopefully this, and the few things I'll have done in the future will fix most of my problems.
