Dude, that sucks. But I really appreciate that you took the time to clean up. It also gives me a good example to the kids to clean shit up (whether actual feces or else).

I really like that stream crossing and meadow on the deer valley trail. We like to camp there.

Looks like fun! Bummed I missed it.

My brother sent me a bunch of pics of slickrock and the trail is looking torn up. A little more challenging then in the past. Can’t wait to check it out!

This part looks fun to play on

That stream is a nice area, outlook, just a little too much traffic for me though. The kid driving pops ride to me was the highlight of the end of the run for me.

Now you see what my game plan was when I was hitting you up.

Hey y’all I sorta abandoned the group since I moved up to Bend Oregon but I’m thinking of coming down to Shasta area for a camping trip end of the month. Would anyone be willing to Pm me any cool spots or routes they know of that aren’t very crowded? Hoping to camp on water, pick up all our own trash and generally others too and don’t shoot guns off all over. We’re a pretty low key group and won’t wreck anyone’s spots.

It was pretty brutal. Ran to buck island, camped for the night and came back. E-locker stopped working shortly after starting.

That's not gonna be a fun trail without a working locker. Did you just remove the actuator and slide locker to locked at least?

My e-locker in my first gen quit working a few times. I would take it apart and clean it up and was able to get it working again. Did that about 4 or 5 times before it finally went out completely.

On 1st Gens you can. Just pull the actuator. Get under the rig with a screwdriver and have someone you really trust slowly drive forward while you apply pressure to the lock pin. Once it lines up it slides right in.

It wasn’t terrible without the locker. The only place I actually got hung up because of it was little sluice. But no I didn’t even know you could do that. A guy I was with told me he heard it go out when he was behind me.

Thanks for sharing. I always enjoy seeing rigs come thru by Buck Island. I've hiked in and camped from Tahoma end and along the river from Campers Flat via Bayview (Emerald Bay) or Eagle Lake (Emerald Bay).
