I sat with the inventory manager of my local store and modified an allocation to my spec, but the system wouldn't show pricing on my updated configuration until it recycled in the system so I'm trying to back into what my pricing will look like. Using what you said you spec'ed, I'm higher so I'm trying to figure out where I'm off.

Based on the info in this thread, this is what I figure your build you mentioned would be.

    Base MSRP $ 35,335
    Premium EE $ 2,295
    Technology $ 770
    LED Lighting $ 485

    Destination $ 1,095

    Blackout Pack $ 415

    Monroney Estimate $ 40,395

I'm $2K higher than you said. Any idea where I'm off?

$35-37 seems about what I usually see on the ORs. I paid $36.5 for mine and felt it was a decent deal.

The $35,335 base number I used is $200 more than the 2019 manual off road base price so it's not in the transmission

I just got a text from a local dealership saying that the only way to get the tech package is to go with the premium package. Is anyone else getting told this? I know on previous models you could do either or. I am looking to only get the tech package. I don't want the premium.

You are 100% correct. My initial calculations were without the $2295 premium package. Once I added it in, MSRP was near $40k, my actual price will be around $38k.

I don't think the manual premium pack comes with JBL. I have a printout of a manual configuration on a 20 straight out of Toyota's allocation system that lists "Entune Audio with Integrated Navigation and App Suite" with no mention of JBL. Someone posted a couple pages back a configuration on an auto that does specifically call out JBL on the description of that package. The manual full premium package (including leather and moonroof) is $3645 whereas the the full auto premium pack is $4285. For MY19, the difference between the auto and manual premium packs was $830. Now it appears to be $640 so that feels pretty consistent.

What doesn't make sense is last year, the manual premium package was $2060 and now it appears to be $3645. Seemingly a $1585 bump for the same equipment so I'm trying to figure out if something else is included, if this is preliminary pricing there's an error in, or if it's a real bump. Effectively the same numbers on the auto, from $2890 to $4285 is a $1395 bump. Hoping we've got this wrong...

Yeah that is a big bump in price on the Premium package. Really hope that isn't true or there is something they give us to justify the increase. Up until that point I was impressed that the base cost didn't increase too much.

The base price of a 2020 OR AT is $37,575

So ... roughly a 2k difference between your quoted MT base price no?

So if I go with an OR MT base being about 2k less, I'm looking at MSRP of $35,575 + 3645 (Premium package on MT) + 1670 (Advanced Tech package) + 485 (LEDs) = ~$41,300. Plus if I add blackout etc be a bit more even.

Oof, that is a pretty decent jump over what my 2019 MT with Prem+Tech was at ~$38k MSRP. I know there is some extra goodies I'm paying for, but still a bit of a pill to swallow...

In Toyota fashion, JBL never seems to be available with the manual. My ‘14 6MT Corolla just has premium audio and not JBL. From what I’ve seen the same holds true for the new Corolla. JBL only on the auto.

We're both talking manual here. Can you confirm what the base MSRP of manual off road double cab is (model number 7545A) and what TRD PREMIUM OFF ROAD PACKAGE (Double Cab M/T) (OF) costs please.

Torque News is reporting pricing on the TRD Pro:

For 2019 the factory MSRP for the Tacoma TRD Pro double cab 6-speed manual is $42,810. Expect the MSRP for the 6-speed 2020 TRD Pro at $43,960.

With automatic transmission double cab, the 2020 Tacoma TRD Pro will be $46,665, while it was $45,365 with the 2019 model year.

Now I just need to confirm that the one I ordered isn't larded up with stupid shit, like the Desert Air Intake.....

I would think the carpet mats could be taken out if you're getting the all weather mats, unless you want both sets. Otherwise your figures look good. Your invoice estimate may be just a touch low.

Yeah I want both sets of mats so that's on purpose.

While I was sitting with the inventory manager, I scribbled down the MSRP and invoice on the unit we were modifying prior to my changes from his screen and it had about 6.5% margin in it so that's what I used here. Understand different options may carry slightly different margins. Should be in the ballpark.

If that is right, a fully loaded OR is basically the same price as a Pro... I wish I could get a Pro in Cement if that is the case! Argh!
