I cannot for the life of me find the keyfob that is inside the truck somewhere. I know it's in the truck because when I try to lock the doors from the outside sensor on the handle (without the other keyfob on me) it gives a long beep and I can see a light on the dash that says key detected inside.

Is there some way to use the other keyfob to make the missing keyfob beep so I can locate it?

Yeah, it's crazy. Seems there are only so many places it could be but I cannot find that darn thing. Must be in a crevice somewhere.

If I lost something like that in truck I would start with last known location before it disappeared like was it in the Right pocket or your left? back pocket ? if Right pocket then every thing down from that point on the right ... and so forth. if that really gets nasty then it is not that hard to take the front seat out just watch the wires for heated seat if have and of course the wires for the seat belt notice switch.

Well it's 106 degrees (in the shade), and probably 120 in the garage with the engine block heat added. I think I'll continue this easter egg hunt later when it cools a bit. Thanks for the ideas. It's gotta be there somewhere.

Try under the seats around the tracks? I know I've lost stuff under the seats and it takes me a few searches to actually find it.

The "Smart Key" is the biggest pain in the ass EVER, more unnecessary Nanny shit. Good luck on your Easter-egg hunt OP. As previously mentioned check the seat rails in the Carmuda Triangle next to the console.

I dropped a key in the space between the seat bottom and back. It doesn't come out. You have to fish down there and be lucky to grab it. This is different than other cars that we hand where stuff going there would just drop to the floor.

Are we really trying to help someone find their fob in a truck we are nowhere near?... Okay, I'll bite... So, we know for sure it's in the truck; great. The truck isn't very big; even better. Now, I can't be positive because I'm not there, but maybe get off of the internet and keep looking in the truck. You should definitely find it somewhere inside.

It's in the same place that all of my 10mm wrenches are wherever that is. Could also be the place where all the missing socks go to die though too.

They may also vacuum it and not realize it because generally speaking, they go pretty quick.
