Just got the call back about the job in the Gulf. I interview 9/16.
They're paying for my hotel and my fuel there and back.
If they treat their interviewees well, I assume they treat their employees well.

Which gulf? I keep forgetting we have a gulf close to us. Every time I hear "gulf" I think of the shithole.

My chief pilot and two of my previous instructors went out there. Only my chief pilot has come back on-shore, the others seem to like it out there a lot.

 

What equipment? I'd think it would be a larger bird like a Sea King or civilian equivalent.

I don't think I'll get the Bell 407 position, so it will likely be an AStar (AS350 B3) exactly like this one.

 

That's not a lot of room for pax or cargo. Or do they just hang on to the skids?

 

It's usually used for small teams to go out to small platforms to do light maintenance. Sometimes they need to go way out just to turn a valve.
