What would be the advantages of going 2.5" piping after the 1st catalytic converter. I have two cats and my truck is 2.25" piping stock

    Naturally aspirated?

    Nothing.

If there was advantage (like power or MPG) based on .25 larger diameter pipe, Toyota would have done it.

Even since way before '04 everyone has been scrambling to get every advantage in those areas possible, within a price range that is worth the effort.

I'm sure someone will be along to tell you how it's so worth while though...........

My caveat. If I was building a replacement pipe or rerouting the system and 2.5 was essentially the same price, I'd use it. Just because I could.

Because that's where you typed it.

You can edit your post. Cut your response out and past it after the [/quote]

Not saying you need to now, just that is the way to fix something like that in the future.

Agreed. I did everything I could to reduce backpressure on my '86 T-Bird Turbo Coupe (and it responded well), but reducing backpressure on a naturally aspirated engine can sometimes hurt more than help.

Hopefully I can get a turbo or supercharger so my exhaust can help
