Metal chunking noise after Fabtech

    This problem is not related to the problem in my other thread, at least I don't think it is.

    I just had a Fabtech lift installed last week. Ever since then I've had a loud metal "clunk" noise in my front, but only when I tap the brakes anywhere from a slow roll to 30 mph. The noise doesn't occur if I apply the brakes slow, but if I tap them real fast its very noticable. Someone was able to hear the noise from 1/4 mile away when I was coming down the road. Has anybody ever had this problem? Or maybe a possible idea of the root of the problem?

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    possibly check the torque on the UCA bolts. if the nut is loose and creates a space, it will cause the UCA to move back and forth creating a noise when starting/stopping. mine came loose on one side and made a clunk/thud noise.

    Problem is fixed. The allignment shop only had my lower control arm bolts finger tight. Needless to say I'm taking my truck somewhere else next time.

    haha yeah you were. I appreciate the help. Gave me a good starting point to look. I've gotta get it alligned again now. Gonna lift the front up about an inch first to level it out. Thanks again

    i hope you got a lifetime alignment on that thing. i bought one after installing the lift on this one and used it 5-6 times now. excellent $150 spent

    I've never thought about that. Might be something to look into. Are you able to get it every so many miles, or is it a specific length of time?
