    To piggyback off this, @Torspd Does this mean you have to run high zinc oil all the time or just for the break in period?

    I always do.

    If I cannot get Redline Oil, I'll get Castrol or Mobile One. Either of theirs with the European blend, or high anti-wear mentioned. Typically a 5w-40 full synthetic. Then I add in a half bottle of Redline Oil Engine Break-in Oil(bottle of anti-wear additive). Always.

    Redline has a very high ZDDP count.

    Amsoil Dominator series does too, I just don't know how much. Those two don't need the added bottle of anti-wear additive.

    Start-up procedure is easy enough. Lube up cams like crazy. Add a little extra oil to buckets around the bucket shims. Pull fuel pump relay. Crank for a few seconds to build oil pressure. Jump fuel pump contacts while key is in "On" position, to prime fuel rail. Reinsert relay. Start engine and maintain 2000-2500 RPMs until engine is at operating temperature. Done.

    3 - Realize I really do need cams
    4 - Tell myself it’s ok to buy bc it will complete my truck and I’ll be done
    5 - Get excited everyday about cams coming
    6 - Get delivery and smile
    7 - Open box and think “when do I have time to put these in and how the fuck do I do it”
    8 - Put on shelf in garage with all other parts
    9 - Drive stock Tacoma around town

    Technically I did last night. I upackaged the Kelford box from the shipping box. 1st step down. Lol.

    Actually, I just finished working on my Bimmer. Time to get started.

    No cam work, but did organize the garage for working on the cams, as well as just finished welding on an exhaust hanger support for friend's 2TR. That has a custom Torspd modified exhaust. Still need to get a turbo on that engine..... One day soon. :devil:

    Found an engine worth buying to build up. Commercial freight delivery only. Now my welding shop isn't big enough to be considered commercial so so now I need to call in favors. Once the engine is purchased, BC stroker wont be a far purchase behind that. Now who's setting up the group by on stroker kits anyways lol

    usually the nearest freight hub will let you pick things up. thats how my axles worked out.

    UPS near me says they do freight delivery. I'll have to talk to them. Dont know if they would do it for free like some of my steel suppliers might.
