TailGate Opener Module V2 By DSIM Solutions

Sounds like trying to be fancy and have the Bluetooth control if the module is active or not. Would be cool, but also prone to more problems.

 

Adds on your wifi or bluetooth to your module
Giving ideas to switch turn on/off on relay constant power.
If bluetooth or wifi(can be mobile hotspot) is connect then ON
If bluetooth or wifi(can be mobile hotspot) is not connect then OFF

Another safety feature when someone have your fob.

 

When ignition is off and someone(service tech or valet) have your fob they still open the tailgate with 3 click. To prevent that happen is what i said above.

I know you have switch on/off what if when you forgot to turn off.

Would also need to make an app to control those settings, which is a lot of work.

However, when it comes to advancIng your product line, is not a bad idea.
Because an app can be use to control your other products too, especially if you have a large selection.

This got me thinking as just a thought or dream.
Like if all these great mods made by all these great people came together and made one app.
Ultimate V5 Turn Signal (DRL On/Off, SEQ or Flash), SuperMap/Dome Lights (Color switch, Brightness level, RAVE mode), Power Mirrors (Remote FoldIng, Set Auto Fold Trigger), Puddle/Rock Lights (Hard On/Off, Strobe, Auto Trigger), Tailgate Opener, etc. all controlled in one app.

 

1) Do not forget.

2) I personally, always hard disengage the quick connect to the tailgate when I service my truck.
I only give my FOB and not the physical key, cause I do not want them snooping around in the bed of my truck anyways.

Gonna update my install instructions to show the following. I have had a few people that damaged the arduino by installing the A-Harness upside down. Which is easy to do and I am working on updating the enclosure to try and avoid this as much as I can. Luckily I designed the module to have the arudino sit on some female headers, so replacing is extremely simple should you damage it during install. But let's try and avoid that









Also quick update, I've got 1 left in the current batch. Working on building up the next batch today and next week.

Okay guys, finally got a date from my supplier for B-Harnesses. September 20th for shipment, so my best guess is the B-Harnesses will be available the week of the 23rd. Make sure you sign up for email notifications if you are waiting for it. Still one module left for now.

Will these harnesses be available without the switch for those of us that have the KTJO4x4 switch?

 

Yup, its just the wiring. BYOS (Bring your own switch).

I am working on an install video for Module/A-Harness as well.

 

Can someone point me to where I can purchase KTJO’s actuator for the tailgate opener? I have the tailgate lock installed already.
