That's true, I think you have to have 17's or bigger with a 4.5" backspacing.

That is true, unless you get wheel spacers. I ran spidertrax with 16s on my six inch lift in the beginning. Moved up to 18s and 35s now.

6" Fabtech coilover lift. 35/12.50/17 Mickey Thompson MTZ, 17x9 ProComp 1089 wheels painted black, UWS black lowprofile toolbox, husky liners, tacoma bed mat, bed lights, Premier stereo, Cobra 19 cb, firestik 3' antenna.
I can see where your coming from on this. It is like someone said, the type of tire is the most important thing. I pulled up to a truck the other day that also had 35x12.50 tires, but they were Nitto Mud Grapplers. They are WAY bigger than mine. I'm not sure which one is closer to a "true" 35, but those looked almost like a 36 or so.

But as far as having to chop and cut everything, I think the bad design for the body mount is to blame. I don't know of any other trucks off the top of my head besides the 2nd gen. Taco that has a bad design. When I say bad design, I'm talking about as far as modifying your truck goes. I'm sure Toyota designed it around safety and a few other things, which is also fine.

I can see why Krookz rubbed so bad with his Nittos. They are just an all around beefier tire. Because I'm running 35s and haven't been able to find the time to trim anything yet, and I've only rubbed the fenderwells, and about 1" of the front bumper.

My advice to anybody out there wanting to do a 6" lift, decide of the type of tire before you do the size. I think the 33's Krooks has look great, but I think if I would have got 33" MTZs instead of 35s, it would looked like skateboard wheels under it.

    Looks freakin perfect Justin!

I love it with the lower black bumper valance and white eyelids.

did you paint the valence or do a sockmonkey vinyl deal? I was so close to pulling the trigger on painting mine myself while I was painting some other stuff, until I read that people were getting lots of rock chips and stuff no matter how well the paintjob was done. what is yours and how do you like it?

It is the same as what Sockmonkey would send you, but I had a local guy I know that does vinyl work throw this on for me free of charge.

I was going to order it up, but figured I would jack it up and I let a pro do it

Hows your taco holding up bro? Haven't seen it around lately. I agree w/your insight on the 3" vs 6". the worst part for me, personally, is the loss of turning radius w/the 6" lifts. Most u-turns are 3 pt turns now:(

Twice now I heard someone say something about the turning radius w/ the Fabtech :pccoffee: Does the Procomp do the same?
