Would worn out sc rotors be an issue?

it would be sounding like a box of roo kickin' rocks if that was the case. im leaning on the ecu end of the error. granted im no serious mechanic, but im good at solving problems.

I have no idea. All I can tell you is that the engine and ecu came out of an original TRD HiLux. Is this calibration ID something I can get from the dyno guy who has my Ute atm?

Are your "TRD" Hilux's supercharged from the factory?

I'd be willing to bet your your dyno shop has the ability to get the Calibration ID. Might ask and see. Once verified, we can confirm what is in your ECU and if that's your issue.

Yes. The engine and sc are both original from the factory. Same with the ecu. Ok leave it with me and I’ll ask for the calibration ID. Thanks

For my own knowledge, how many kms/miles do you get before new rotors are needed?

That's appears to be a supercharged Calibration ID. In the US, they're 3YWG versus what maybe a Australian market version 3YWH.?.?

Knowing that, you shouldn't be having any issues related to the ECU (at least as far as the calibration is concerned). Electrical or sensor issues may or may not be a factor, but the ECU itself is *adequately* calibrated.

Running out of fuel with the 2.5 pulley and stock injectors?

    Or the belt is slipping.

With a pump, the 455's will keep up with the blower running a 2.5. It's getting close to that edge.. Just depends on how *dangerous* you like to live.

Well at least that’s one more thing we can delete from the equation. Thanks for checking that for me.

From what the dyno guy said there is more than sufficient fuel getting to the injectors

I'd buy that. The "TRD" calibrations in factory form run grossly rich.

Alright guys I am in desperate need of some advice. My truck has been in 2 different shops over the past 5 months and no one seems to be able to get it running right. I had the Magnusson S/C and bully dog tune installed by a recommended shop. On the way home from the shop, I blew the motor. Took it back to said shop and they said the piston cracked and scarred the cylinder wall. I got a new engine installed and the shop said that it was running lean but not throwing codes.

Truck was running like crap and threw a lean code about a week after I got it back so I took it to another shop. They data logged my truck and sent it to BullyDog. Bully Dog has admitted that there is a problem with the software and keeps saying they are working on a solution. This is what they’ve been saying for two months now, but no fix has been offered yet. I need my truck back.

The last call I got from the shop said that magusson will try and assist but only if I put my stock air box back on. I have the AFE dry Stage 2 currently installed.

What are my options? Should I get a new ECU and try to throw the TRD tune on? Orange Virus? I’m in California so I need whatever solution to also pass smog. I’m not sure I can even get the TRD tune here since it isn’t CARB legal.

    Please help!

I can only imagine the frustraion. That is some really crap news.

I'd suggest get yourself a HPTuners MPVI2, and use it to "read" your BD tuned ECU and HPTuners will extract a virgin TRD tune from the BD tune. I'll gladly provide you a personalized tune (free of charge) given the crap you've gone through and help get you back on the road.

Wow man I really appreciate that. I’ve been so frustrated during this ordeal, you can’t imagine how much of a relief it is to finally hear something positive. I’m desperate so whatever I need to do to get this truck back on the road I’m in.
