Drive like everyone is out to kill you! They are, even if they don't mean to.... This is what has kept me alive for 36 years of riding.

If you think you'd like to do trails, the DRZ400 would be the top end - I had a KLR 650 and it was WAY too big for trails.

I have an old Honda XR 200 that I'll take up to Ardbeg, once I get the carb cleaned.

Currently have 6 bikes in my garage :D

I had someone cut me off with about 3 inches to spare the other day. Held back from the mirror smash because everyone has a camera, and everyone is recording

Yup after you and I upgraded the cable size and relocated the solenoid on that bitter cold day, I had no use for them so it was an easy decision Haha.

@pete37 Those south trail off shoot video's you posted up.

Are those snow machine trails? or hydro line work?

I am guessing hydro line work, as those are temp marsh bridges.

    Well....

I feel just pathetic. I'm down here in Brantford On driving around going crazy looking for something to do...ie: MUD!

Got a couple tips on places to go...pfft...sorry you southerners, if this is what u got to offer, i feel so sorry for you.

I ended up spotting a mud pit at the enterance to a farmers field and was so dishearted to have to do it, but gotta fill my addiction...

If you're up to a 40 min drive, there is the St. Williams Conservation Reserve...effectively it was put in place as a reforestry farm back in the early 1900s. All kinds of logging roads...when I was a kid growing up there, there was a mud bog called The Longest Yard. Not uncommon to see built trucks on 44s up to their hood in mud and water. Looking at their website now shows vehicles below 300kg GVW. So I guess thats out of the question now...or is it lol

I put a hard hat on and drive around all these new construction sites around Hamilton.

Works good until you start climbing the big dirt hills, lol then security figures out you're there to play and not work.

Seems like all the off roading areas have been blocked off and converted into paved nature trails. F'n tree huggers and their "nature paths"

    You found a mud puddle?!!!??

Did you geolocate it so the rest of us Southerners can meetup and try it out too?

I've got a recovery strap in case any of the Jeeps that tag along get stuck.

Nice truck BTW, I like the vinyl on the front, such a subtle thing makes a major cool difference.

    BUT :duel:

If you are gonna brag about Northern off-roading and feeling sorry for us Souther-Folk...

You better be hidin' those virgin predator-steps! Ha.

I'd invite you to come try the roads in Hamilton but you'll need rock sliders and a heavy duty Front skid, heavy gas tank skid is a good idea too.

Tires look good but you may need to air down on Barton street.

We have a fluid film party established but no dates!!! If you all wanna do a mass fluid film / oil spray party we should get this going!

We need a place, a compressor (maybe mine) and that's about it.

So far i have for the KW/hamilton/London area

We were basically exploring the area, so retracing our route would be an inefficient use of time. These are the interesting stretches:

Byers Rd between Cartwright West Quarter Line and Russell Rd: https://goo.gl/maps/biuLQ9tt9NRYEUvM6
Ballyduff Rd between Wild Turkey Rd and Porter Rd: https://goo.gl/maps/VLTNLY37iRY7rk4P9

Even these are easier than the blue trails in VMUTS. The rest are flat dirt roads traversable by Corollas.

Burlington Street East too! And not the highway bypass since they patched it up till the tracks so it's only tollerable now.
