Well, like you said before - it has seemed to have gotten better. I don't really notice it anymore but was lucky it was mostly muffled to begin with.

On a different topic - I'm looking to buy a new Tacoma in the next couple month. The 2020 improvements aren't valuable enough to me to merit waiting. Anyone out there have any particular positive or negative experiences with Toyota dealers in Maine (or NH)? Berlin City, Prime, Lee, Emerson, Central Maine Toyota, etc. I'd travel for the right deal and/or dealership that made it easy and hassle free. Anyone to avoid?

Prime has offered me the best deals by 2 grand on a Highlander and Tacoma this year. Unfortunately the Highlander wasn't exactly what my wife wanted (even though it was a 100% loaded Limited) and the Tacoma offer came back the day after I got a sweet deal on mine from Charlie's. When we showed the Highlander deal to the dealership that we bought ours from they simply said, we can't touch that. I'd check out Prime or Charlie's. Oh on my Taco I paid 5,000 under sticker and primes offer was 7,000 under. Buy on the last day of the month.

I won't openly flame but 1 of the dealers you listed I would avoid like all hell if I were purchasing. I've tried to buy my last 3 cars from them. I've had great experience with their maintenance department though.

PS I live in Freeport. :spy:

I almost went to that show, but the ticket prices were too high for my tastes.

Email all of them, see what they start with. I am on my 3rd taco, all came from Prime. I think it all has to do with your sales person, as my last at Prime wasn’t good, but I used this to keep knocking the price down. I would have bought the last from Berlin, but prime was able to get what Inwanted from the factory before Berlin was able to.

I would work every one but the 2 you think you would be most likely to buy from. See what the bottom dollar you can get via email from the rest, then go see a salesperson from the 2 possible dealerships and see where they stand based on the other’s offers.

I got my 17 for a few hundred under invoice.

Born in Maine and spent the first 25 years of my life there. Been in NH ever since, but I'm always in various parts of Maine.

Good evening y’all was wondering if someone could help me out. Got a buddy of mine up your way for a road trip and he was hoping to do some off-roading. Trying to see if I could get some locations to send him before he rolls to NH and VT. just so y’all can see he is experienced. His Instagram is jimsmola. Thanks in advance.

    Gorham Maine here.

I have a Tacoma friendly shop in Westbrook if any of you guys need anything. Not afraid to mod! LOL You can Google the shop if you want its called The VW Garage. My forte is European cars but I needed a truck and have always wanted a Taco and well.....It's all been downhill from there. Just stopping by to say Hi.

LOL. It can be done. It's a mess and us technicians don't really hate you for doing it. Makes getting bolts out years later easier

Yeah, I get mine done at Sabattus Auto lately. I think they must have a dedicated bay for it, lol.

Think I mentioned this in another thread, but I live about 1/2 mile from your shop. Can't miss the glow of that blue driving by. I'll stop in sometime.

The DQ is within shouting distance of my house.
