    So...my son just got hired by one of our contractors to be a "customer service technician" working in the desktop support office. He's going to be reimaging laptops and desktops for 8 straight hours (we support a LOT of people nationwide).

    So proud and happy! I have a carpool buddy!!

    The PGM on his contract came by and asked if there was any relationship between their new hire, who also had the same last name. "Yes, that's my son." Because of my reputation around here, they're promising to take good care of him.

    "Uh, y'all need to act like I'm not here and treat him like you'd treat anyone else."

    People are already asking me how I managed to get him the job. I can't even hire new contractors for my OWN team - what makes anyone think I can staff any others? Sheesh. While the hiring manager knows me, he got and will keep the job on his own merits.

    I am for all intents and purpose simply his ride. We won't even see each other during the day because we're in different parts of the building.
