What does your owner's manual say?

6.5 sounds more like the 3.4L though.

5.4 qts dry so 5 is about right. I always use the 5 qt when I do oil changes and still have a little extra.

My 2.7 takes 5.25 to the full line. 5.4 is slightly over.

5.5 qts for the 3.4l, usually ends up taking me about exactly that every time.

Put 5 in, start it, shut it off & wait 10 min. Check & add to full if needed. IIRC, my 2.7 took a little over 5.

Yeah I usually get 5 qts in until it's full after draining it, but once you run it the new oil filter will absorb some and it'll require a bit more before it's said and done. Almost always exactly 5.5 qts for me (3.4l v6)

I honestly don't even keep track.

Just keep adding oil until the level shows up on the dipstick, then start it and run a minute or two, then top it off.

    Owner's manual says 5.7 with filter for 3RZ. 5VZ is 5.5.oil.jpg

Is the filter that much smaller on the 3.4? The filter on the 2.4/2.7 adds 0.7 liters, but the filter on the 3.4 adds only 0.3 liters.

Per my 2002 Manual, 5.7 quarts is used on my 2.7 3RZ engine.. I always add 0.1 or 0.2 quarts over just to make sure
