Another way to put it is that Spam is a scrapple, but Scrapple is not Spam.

Granted, they'll both harden arteries faster than paint dries...

Spam museum is about an hour away from here. Yep, 14,000 square feet dedicated to square meat. Spam has shoulder picnic and ham in it as the main meat.



Need a lot larger board for everything that goes into scrapple...

No, 5 days or so if refrigerated. No preservatives. But it does have cornmeal. In the South they add even more cornmeal to it and call it livermush. And add too much liver to it. IMO anyhow.

Always had it by the 5 lb. pan or 6 lb. brick but never had the store bought stuff until left home. Hold it does that say Fort Atkinson, Wi. on it??! Off to search the WWW...

Found the product locator and they claim a store in town carries that exact package. Every place I have asked for it around here they ask what is scrapple. I'm going to have to make a trip into town soon, thank you!!!

HEB. 1/4 mile from my house. That's why I used that pic - I know that one.

My wife hates it...but my dogs go apeshit for it. The wife ways that's because Scrapple is soft dog food for men.
