    Your real estate taxes are higher in Florida tho.

    People in VA bitch about the county level personal property taxes on vehicles. MD makes fun of us for that, yet they pay county level income taxes.

    The king collects his taxes one way or the other. You have to do the research and look at total tax burden. Some do lump sum, some nickel and dime you. Either way, they get their money.

    yea it really depends on where you are really. Where i am its like $900.00 a year for my condo (20 mins from Boca). We do pay $350 a month for HOA. Certain places are like $15k-$20k a year for prop taxes. Boca Raton and Miami are up there.

    I forget how much more my SIL in Tampa paid in taxes for their house than we do here. Hers was cheaper, a little smaller and on a tiny lot while we are on ten acres and the property is valued $100k more.
