To me they are no different then any other rim. They are for looks and I have seen plenty of trucks that look great with them and some that don’t. It’s all about the execution of the whole truck rather then just the rims to me.

I think Toyota’s TRD beadlocks are great looking when the right color on the right colored truck.

Don't mind them as long as they don't come with that stupid undercut lip which just simply traps water.

Or just get one of the many wheel options that don't include the fakelock
Those are the least bad to me, and I'd be curious to see the fakelock trim piece polished or chrome. It may not look right on a modern truck, but I'd have to see it to judge it.

So then which reputable brands make true bead-lock wheels?

Even when I google "beadlock wheels", all I get is the wheels with the fake beadlocks. Just curious...

I'm not a fan of the faux lock look. Having said that, it looks great on modern trucks and not so great on older trucks. This is the same reason old Centerlines or Weld don't look good on new trucks; they look dated.

I don't even think the wheel manufacturers consider them fake beadlocks as much as dressing up the lip of an otherwise boring lip design. I think a bunch of faux lock wheels would look much worse if they removed the features from the lip.

Having said that, I love my no faux lock wheels. They were a pain in the ass to fit, but I love them.

Pretty much agree with you on everything except the boobies, those get a pass.

Worst fake locks were the ones i had. They were steelies with the lip which trapped water and would eventually rust.

They're functional. When you air down, and use the truck, the fake beadlock is what will take hits from rocks.

I'd the edge is black, it's easy to spray paint.

Not a fan. My wife's JK has them but those are the wheels she wanted. Thy make cleaning/detailing a little more work. Generally, I don't like things that look like something, but don't do anything.

I'm currently prototyping a functional beadlock toilet seat. I hate loose wiggly seats. We're gonna secure that throne with a set of 20 M6 hex head bolts, keeping it rock steady through the biggest of dumps.

"What if I need to lift the seat," you say? Tough! Go find a tree in the back yard, you nancy. The beadlock seat is only for heavy duty doody use. Your houseguests will know that you mean business when they see you got it in low gear lockdown.

Special intro group buy, only 89.95.

99.95 if you want the bronze powder coat edition.

The Method wheels like in OP look really good in my opinion. Saw a 4x4 Chevy Van modified for extreme off road with those wheels and it looked really cool.

Great idea! That is probably the highest and best use for a fakelock.

I had bronze Method NV’s. I liked them but I wanted black wheels instead. Plus there’s like 5 other trucks in my apartment complex that has them.
