The other thing to keep in mind is the significant breakthroughs in carbon capture technologies and that could offset fossil fuel emissions. It's all fascinating to read up on, but we'll have to wait and see how it all goes.

Also heard Toyota is aiming for 30 mpg in the next gen Tundra, I'm guessing hybrid...

More than likely highway mpg, and Ford, Dodge and Chebby are already doing it with small turbo gassers or diesels.

    I'm guessing a turbocharged 3.0.

I doubt it will happen in Texas anytime in the immediate future but Cali has banned certain years of diesel vehicles and by January of 2023 will not allow them to be inspected/registered anymore unless they've had a motor swap to a 2010 or higher motor. So yes there are ways to influence what you drive if they really want to even if it seems ridiculous. If you're unable to buy something else then they will just ticket you, impound your vehicle, destroy your driving record and fine you to oblivion.

Gotta love the logic behind that shit.

Can’t afford a new vehicle? FINE
Can’t pay the fine? LICENSE SUSPENDED
Now you can’t even drive to work

Oh you still can’t pay?! JAIL.

Well shit now you can’t even walk to a job or pay any bills.

im just glad you realize being poor is a systematic loop that is very very hard to get out of. That one big thing could make most of us poor, and that most people don't choose to be poor. Once youre poor its hard to get out of they cycle of being poor.

Very true. I’m still not millennial enough to say it’s the governments fault and that they should give us free shit but I do get it.

Same cycle as “now hiring. Need experience”

“Well how can I get experience if y’all don’t hire me”

Dude, you work, I would never think that of you haha. I think that everybody feels that if you are able to work you should. There will always be people trying to game that system because they don't want to work more than they want to be a producing member of society. There are people like that in every walk of life, every economic class, every color, everywhere. Sadly I do not think any legislation will be able to motivate those people.

There’s also extremely hard workers who are stuck in dead end jobs because they don’t look as good on paper as the others who were blessed with wealthy parents that helped em get into schools and all that. The world is a rough place really. Every day I think about moving to a 3rd world country and just living off the land more and more

You could move somewhere, buy some business or land, and then run the business and retire there or whatever. Check airbnb in all these Mexican beach towns, there are so many American and European owners of these properties and they either live there or appoint a manager to run it. Same wit a lot of other vacation town stuff.

I’m going beyond Mexico. Like Columbia. And you’d have to have money to buy the land. Viscous cycle again. I’m talking about a village somewhere lol.

Still gotta power those things somehow.
I'm all for renewable energy and electric
this and that if it can out perform fossil fuels. But I don't see fossil fuels going away. they'll continue to power our jets, boats, military in general.
I think the future is fossil fuels and renewable energy working in tandem with fossil fuels being conserved and renewable energy taking the forefront of the grid.

Plus the power used to make them and charge them usually comes from fossil
    fuels.

It's unfortunate that millennial has a negative conotation to it. Way too baggage for shit we had no say so in.
