Have you tried the 2.0 OLE?

 

I have the lug too, but not that bad, in fact getting used to it, seems each truck behaves a little differently, 04B04 87.

 

Haven’t read the 47 posts after yours but here’s my humble opinion: that’s a lot to move with our trucks unless you’re relatively flat and/or patient. I’ve been tuned for since 102 and have towed up to 6500. Thing is, our trucks are not geared or have the power for pulling weight. Even in 3rd or 4th gear locked, some grades are just painfully irritating. I know someone will chime in and say, “I pulled 8000 pounds up a straight wall”. Good for you. I guarantee it wasn’t pleasant.

So far the best tune for towing is the one that came before the last one Mat released. I’d upgrade to Bo4 and make it happen. There’s so much support on this thread alone. You can do it in a few hours MAX!

Have you run higher octane with the 2.0 base tune? I had about 500 miles with it on 91 and yesterday I filled up with 87 because 91 was 30% more. 50 miles and everything is different. Shift points are lower, seems like less TC slip, and the “lug”. I actually thought about you today, because I know how you feel about it. If you haven’t tried higher octane, you might want to. I’d be interested in hearing if you see/saw a difference.

 

Got my kit today and went to the link to download 2.0 so I'll have it ready when I get my confirmation code. No files to download. It says "pending update"

 

Yep, the 2.0 betas were only live for a handful of days. Probably a sign another beta is coming SOON

Yes, several tanks of 93, and same-same.

 

When i first flashed it seemed really responsive and now i have lug after it settled in. -latest beta. Anyone have this issue?

Wondered how long you could make it man! I don't know of any therapy for this condition.

 

That is THE problem. Too many variables
2.0 should've been kept to a small group of preferably stock trucks, so the developers can work directly with the group and address issues, analyze issues, design fixes, install, test and repeat until the tunes is satisfactory in all driving environments and conditions.
Another thing. We do send feedback to the issues we discovered, but we never get a feedback/analysis/new calibration from Mat to retest. So I have no clue if my issue was fixed and I have no way to test it with new releases , because everything has changed and you find a new crap...and very old crap has not been addressed.
Vicious circle...

OLE is step back IMHO...
