I went threw Hurricane Andrew and that was apocalyptic to me.....

 

Wow. Unbelievable. Saw a news report said many homes simply no longer there- most those folks are unaccounted for.

Wonder if sea levels will drop some after storm is gone.

Had no idea it was that bad!

 

Reports are saying this is what is left over and many areas wont be rebuilt do to set backs from the waters edge. Water may recede but the earth that was under it is gone leaving many areas still under water.

 

Didn't they pump in a shit load of sand on the N end of Folly Beach a few back and the Morris light house?

 

They are also saying that there could be upwards of 500-800 people missing they just wont know till reports of the missing come in...

I’m hunkering down here in west ash. Luckily my property is on a high grade, so (knock on wood) I should be flood free! Any other tacomaholics live near bees ferry/ hwy 61?

 

Sadly, with those numbers, whole chunks will go unreported, as whole families have ceased to exist as they hunkered together.

I read that either Carnivan or Royal Caribbean (maybe both) cruise lines are donating a large amount of money to help the Bahamas rebuild

 

They’re also I see Carnival May send 2 ships for people to live on till they get housing under control

 

Haha, I used to park my bike in the house during hurricanes and tropical storms. Used the UPS from my computer and a trickle charger to run the head light at night from time to time, and a radio while the power was out.

 

I’m in village green. I’m in a culdesac and our grade is steep. House has been here since 94, I’m sure it can ha doe another cat 2.

When I lived at the Quarter deck fucking management called code enforcement on me for parking my GSX in the living room of my apt.....

 

There is something about having a tank full of combustible liquids in a multi family dwelling....go figure!
