The Sport suspension is not lower. WTF are you talking about?

+1. That's why I ordered mine. I'm in the Gulf States Region, but my dealer says they can get the MT, ... eventually. :)

Pretty simple really. It’s a sport suspension. I test drove the Off Road and hated the soft suspension. I personally don’t see how anyone who drives moderately aggressively could stand it.

Tried the Sport and liked it much better.

Also, limited slip is actually more useful than locking differential most of the time.

Cause, no need to prove size.

In all seriousness, turning ratio is one reason unless you have the smaller cab.
I haven't had an issue of too small of a box, even with my Lund hard tonneau. I've hauled dressers, beds, a full quarter panel to a jaguar (my sons long gone stupid project and rust bucket, dam that thing sucked). Haven't had to pull the lund off yet, but got damn close.

The trim that makes no sense is the 2WD Off Road.

    I think that has a e-locker, doesn't it? I know 2nd gen does, not sure on 3rd.

The OR's main feature is the crawl control, which the 2wd doesn't have. Yeah it's a feature most will never touch, but it's the principle of it.

To me, Off Road = 4x4 plain and simple.
The Pre-Runner was designed as a baja vehicle. 2WD w locker.

For me, Sport was the only choice. Never will be off roading. Never. What's the purpose for Off Road or 4x4 ? TRD Pro , don't need it. Never will be off roading. Not every body uses the truck to go off roading dude. The Sport trim looked best and stiffer suspension. It handled better than other trims. Added the tech package/ sunroof, leather heated seats and I have a truck I like. Rides smooth, looks good, wife likes it and a short bed will do me fine 99.99% of the time. Not everyone uses the truck for what you plan to do with it.

Which, with manual Sport or OR(I think) has clutch cancel, which can be used as crawl control (or so they say).

Say what? Interesting. Drive out on the starter? Clutch cancel only lets you start it without the clutch being pushed in. tell me more.
I did this on my first gen in 4 low but it was far from crawl control.

Same here. I wanted an AC with a LB and MT. I had planned to upgrade the suspension anyways so the stiff suspension was not an issue.

While the ATs have crawl control the Sport MT has Trac control when in 4WD low.

This guy gets it. I do go off road, but only down to my walk out basement door to load shit. Don't think i need lockers or crawl for that. Not that the 2nd gen had crawl. I see no need to trade. luv my truck as it sits and thats all that matters to me.
I don't disrespect the 3rd gen, I respect everyone's choice. You get what you like and stick with it.

I have never used it for its intended purpose. I use mine in the winter, e-brake on, in Neatral, ignition on, button pressed, start truck, go clean off snow, hop in a drive away.

They say to not use it for general starting, I assume they mean with it in gear.
