I was supposed to be able to have all of them completed this weekend but brackets were sent to Hawaii for some reason

I finally installed the tailgate lock today. I couldn't find the instructions, but a quick search found a couple pics that helped me figure out where everything went (although I don't know what the little parts bag was for). Also the harness was a hair short for my DCLB, it stretched but could have used another 6" for easier routing. All that said, it worked great the first time. Plug and play is awesome! I also applied plenty of grease to the moving parts hoping the aluminum doesn't wear the plastic too fast. Thanks for a nice package.

 

I really want to do this mod as I am tired of unlocking/locking tailgate with key, but lack of directions or video of someone doing the install makes me nervous hence my hesitation to pull the trigger and tackle this install.

 

I just installed the kit. Super easy and there are plenty of pics on this thread to follow along with. This forum is all about helping its members so if you happen to run into trouble you will get the help you need. Go for it!

I have to agree with 1992SR5V6 as I did not use the small package he highlighted either and i was also 6 inches short on my wiring. Went back and took all of the slack out and it fit great but a few more inches would make it easier. Install was easy following the instructions and works perfect.

Ok guys. I understand people like instant feedback when they make purchases or they write me and they would like a response back immediately. I am going to just write this out one time because I am not going to have threatening messages by ANYONE telling me that they will make anything public about their dealings with me if I do not respond to them by this time frame and this and that. I do not take orders. I want to make that clear once and for all. Second, the last time I made updates for EVERYTHING was on Monday, September 2nd. It is now the 7th and the weekend. Mind you I have been responding to some of these messages as well in the times being. However, I do a lot of responding on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday most the time. It is ABSOLUTELY crazy to me how crazy people are getting with the threats. Just remember, I am able to turn customers away if you get too nasty. I do not need just anyone’s purchase if you are going to be like that and I am sorry. I do not think if you purchased from Monday until Now, waiting until now to get a response from me is crazy to ask.

I am making it known now, for future people that purchase, this is how I operate so expect it. I have a job during the week. If you want a bigger corporation that works like a bigger corporation, then go an order from them. I will not be turning into one of them. I like and enjoy what I do now. Please stop trying to turn me into something like that. I believe I have a great product that with the help of others, we have been able to turn it into the best one on the market, but it still is what it is for both of us. We will get these shipped out as fast as we both can, but we both have jobs that call for us to travel sometimes, and we both have families. This comes after both of those.

Lastly, please do not tell me that I do not communicate when I am on this forum daily making updates. I am constantly updating the list. Yes. There are occasions where you may get lost in the shuffle and I do apologize to those individuals and I get their packages out to them as quick as possible.

I am actually in the process of getting all the Integrated Harnesses and PNP Harnesses pre-made so that all I have to do is grab and go. Currently, the Integrated Tailgate Lock Harnesses are not pre-made and that is why they take longer for shipments. I am trying to make it easier on myself and you as the customer. To make everything a quick turnaround. So when you are hassling me about all of this and that, I am doing 100x of other things behind the scenes, so just know there are a ton of things going on to make things in the future go really really smooth. It is all part of this development phase. I do apologize if it is not to your liking and as quick as you would like. I am asking to know my time frame above and to respect it. Thank You!
