Myself and dogs just came up from the basement. They reported rotation 1/8 mile away from us. No damage here, just tons of lightning, rain and a short period of wind. Power went out for 5 minutes. Alls well now.

Hi CT! Do we have a CT Classifieds page? Did a search and did not come up with anything.

Would there be any interest in creating a CT type classified? I'd be willing to help. There must be tons of great stuff sitting in garages across Connecticut. One mans junk is another man's treasure, and we are all looking for deals and ways to upgrade our trucks. Every time I look I find great items at fair prices but always the shipping is more than the item is worth. I'm sure this has been broached before but worth asking.

I typically give this group first dibs on parts before I post it in the classifieds- then post up in the classifieds after a week.

As a sort of side note - are you familiar @zachshere with TW Express? Basically folks handing stuff off you bought to get it to you w/o official shipping channels. I've seen it done for floor mats up to bed caps ("campers"). If you do a search you'll see it happening all over the country.

But yes, keeping things local would be nicer.

From CT, about how far is it to NYC..Madison Square Garden?

I'm about hour and a half from the RI/CT border. I am wondering too if there's public transit from CT to MSG?

From the New Haven station and down, Metro North takes you into Grand Central. You'll avoid the pleasure of going into Manhattan. There is train service from the east side of NH that'll get you to NH but then, I believe, you'd have to change over to a Metro North train.

    Good morning all

Metro North trains from New Haven as said gets you to Grand Central Station, then walk/bus/subway over to MSGarden.

If you're coming from CT/RI, check out the casino up near New London. They probably have package deals for a much nicer bus to NYC. Intended to do NYC/Casino/NYC - but you may be able to do it backward taking the return to NYC first, then to Casino second... and end up with some casino chips in the deal.

Be aware there is a last train & I assume last bus. If you go to an event at MSG - you need to look carefully at the time of things after your event.

Not sure what the length of travel times would be for you, but maps.google should help with that.
