Just purchased an '01 single cab pre-runner for my 16 year old kid and I have a few questions that have just came up now that I've been able to use it the last couple weeks..
    1. The drivers side floor board is wet. We have had lots of rain the last couple of days and the truck has been parked the entire time. I noticed the weatherstripping on the body and around the door has several holes in it. Could this be the culprit? Has anyone else had this issue?
    2. I found out today that the truck doesn't have a tire jack, lug wrench or the tool to lower the spare tire. Any suggestions to finding these tools other than going to the stealership. I have noticed that there is very few of these trucks in the local junkyards??
Any and all help is greatly appreciated..

    1. I have the exact same issue and I am interested on what others say about that!

    2. You could search on ebay.

Welcome to TW! you have a very luck kid to get a taco for a first vehicle.

Yes the weather striping is probably the culprit. You'll probably have to get that at the dealer.

As for the tools, best bet is to check craigs list and ebay.

    thanks for the feedback..

I have an 09 DC and love it.. Couldn't afford a new one for my daughter's 16th so I found an 01 and she was extremely happy to get it.. Hell I even enjoy driving it.. I'll try to post some photos..

As far as the weatherstripping, I already ordered it from the stealership this evening and hopefully it fixes the problem.
