    hey all,

I was a complete dingus and started washing my 2019 with a hose with the front door open.... I know I know. Complete dumb move.

Luckily, noticed pretty quickly and dried the water off right away. No water got into the cab, just all over the door. Have not even tried using the power windows or turning on the stereo. How screwed we thinking I am? Didn’t seem too much more than if I had left the door open for 10 seconds in a heavy rain.

You should be fine. Just give a little time to ensure the switches dry out. Sounds like what you've done.

It's all good. You have to hose down the dash for any electrical gremlins to appear.

Lol, I've done it with window down and more than just a little water. If window control panel got a little wet it's no problem. If it got soaked. Let it dry overnight.

Just put your truck in a ziplock with some rice. Go to bed and then check it in the morning.

Dude. I spray my doors and interior down with a hose all the time. It’s not a big deal.

Wife left the window down on my 2nd gen overnight during a pretty decent downpour. It was fine.

    Lots, straight from the factory.
You can fill the cab with rice. That should work. Untotalled.

I think it will be fine. However, if it's the drivers side door and the switch panel quits working, I have a spare that I'd ship you for free99.

    Again, I'm sure you're fine.

Thanks for all the feedback! This is much appreciated and puts my mind at ease!

I did dry out completely after it happened. I also moved the truck, but did not touch windows. I was probably most worried about the speaker as that is where I could not really dry, but sounds like it’ll probably be fine.... fingers crossed.

Felt pretty dumb but I guess shit happens. I’ll drive after work tomorrow and let people know if anything bad happens.

Again, thank you much for feedback!
