This is CA, I'd probably get arrested and labeled a sex offender for the rest of my life if a neighbor saw me peeing in the backyard.

^^ Not gonna take chances pissing in potential view of neighbors in a state that has given people a sex offender status for doing so.

Although, not being bothered by kids knocking on my door every Halloween does sound nice.

 

So anyway, back to this broken faucet issue...when I had it apart there was a screw that goes through the middle of it and into the valve stemming directly off the plumbing. I checked out the screw and it doesn't look stripped at all, or broken, but it is awfully short for something that looks like it's solely responsible for turning the valve. It's maybe 1/2" long.

Since we already have a guy coming out tomorrow I'll just wait and see what he says but I'm wondering if that screw is the issue.

There is different style valves. But commonly the screw is just attached to a rubber disc that closes off the flow. If that rubber deteriorated it will just allow water to flow. On some valves its rebuildable.

Huh, ok that makes sense. Especially given the age of the house, no idea how old this plumbing is but it's gotta be pretty damn old.

 

Yeah they fucked that one up real good. Been buying dirt bike cans since they're untouched by the unhelpful spouts. I spill more with the safety spouts than without.

 

That’s why you break that piece o’ shit red peice off, or go get a real gas can for motorcycles they hold 5 gal enough to run outta gas and laugh.

 

Hm well hopefully it's easily replaceable, the girl that lives in the house behind us uses the same water line as we do so she's without water as well until this gets resolved. She wasn't happy when I told her about what happened.

Told her she can turn the water back on when she needs it but it has to stay off otherwise, and she asked why we can't just let the shower run until it gets fixed. I was like, look...I know the landlord pays the water bill but unless you want both our rents to double next month I don't think that's a great idea' lol. Derp.

 

I have never found good prices for Mikwaukee anything on Amazon, always beter elsewhere. Not that it matters but a lot of people wonder where Amazon gets Milwaukee stuff since they're not actually an authorized dealer. Might be an issue if you ever have to send something in for warranty. I personally never had to.

That kit would go on sale for $299 but it looks llike that's what Home Depot's price for it now is. Can order it on Home Depot's site & have it shipped to a local store, no shipping charge. I've done that a number of times.

Honestly if these are tools you plan on keepi g for a while & use often, I would spend the cash on the Fuel stuff. They're not just hype, the brushless motors do have longer runtimes & more power. I've never compared the circular saws though. Drills & nutdrivers at work yes.

I had the M18 Hackzall non Fuel, ended up selling it got the Fuel Hackzall. The Fuel version is much better. Slightly more compact, more stroke, & more runtime.

But the non Fuel stuff are still good reliable tools. If you're not in a rush, wait till they have the Milwaukee deals from places like Acme, Toolbarn, CPO, etc.

I got my M18 drill/driver Fuel gen2 set from Acme when they had a deal, got 2 extra 5.0 bateries for free.

OT, Should I get a KTM 990 Superduke or Supercharger and all the shit for the truck? Been looking at new bikes lately and need some quick in my life my 636 ninja is cool but...

 

Anything i buy will be for work as well as personal. So yeah maybes fuel is a better way to go. I have a fuel angle driver and hydraulic driver. And they work well for what ive done with them. I have been kinda disappointed with the M12 drill i have. feel like my craftmen one was way more powerful. The m12 impact is fine though

 

Well....if you define 'quick' by motorcycle capabilities then you will be sorely disappointed with a supercharged Tacoma lol. I would get the bike in that case.

Really the only thing satisfying about a s/c'ed Tacoma is the whine. Everything else is more or less a constant headache that needs to be mended before the next one happens. I might be projecting a little.

 

You wont feel your speed itch satisfied with a SC. So get a bike

 

Superduke is way more fun than these trucks with a SC. If you get the SC it would be better to have more money to get a piggyback, injectors, and a Dyno tune

 

My lil brother has M12 stuff. They're good for occasional & non heavy duty use like around the house & stuff. Compact & lightweight. I like the M18 stuff much better but the M12 stuff has their place. The only M12 tool I own is the ratchet.
