The deepest crossing I did was on Fort Hood during a flood. Water came up to the hood during a flood event.

Moving water terrifies me for that reason

Me, too, honestly. I had hate guard at 0300 and with the storm, there was no high water crossings warnings. That crossing was by my housing area. A dude died within 30 minutes of me crossing there at that water crossing.

Hard to tell how much force running water has. I will cross some deep water if it’s not flowing hard.

I couldn't tell with the volume of rain and darkness. Factory 2nd gen headlights suck. I had 4 water crossings in the 1 mile drive to the gate i was the NCOIC at. I bypassed the second after how deep the 1st was, but i realised i was surrounded by water crossings, so i took the two shallow crossings that were only 1-3 feet deep. As soon as I got to the gate i called all my guards and told them what route to take and the ones driving cars, not trucks i told not to come in. They still drove through, but later when the water level dropped to about 6 inches at the shallow crossings.

My dad was stuck in traffic inside his truck when this happened. He had been there all day and by the time we got to him he nearly passed out cause he hadn't eaten in 20+ hours. My truck was getting painted, and James flooded his truck on this day
