@ColoradoTJ is correct. Definitely @Ice Horse.
I haven't been to COS for a couple of months. Oh … and I just got my hair cut today.

It would make a big difference.

I thought about it but I have a 96 so I'd need a new ECU, plus the 7th injector at the minimum.

For the amount I'd spend I'd be able to get one of the two 1UZ V8s I have in and not have to fuck with any of that. But the truth is with 2 dogs, camping gear, tools, recovery equipment, my fat ass, my long legs I'd rather drive something else to the trail head.

The taco has only lasted so long because it is my favorite despite how impractical it is for me. I've had other 4xs that were better built and/or more agressive but I never liked them as much. I sold the Wrangler on 37s which was armoured and locked, I sold the solid axle 4runner

I still have a geared, lifted, and locked Jeep in my dad's yard but I never pursued it because it was the boulevard of broken dreams and I'm finally ready to let it go

Fawk that would be amazing. At altitude we can use all the boost we can get

Yeah, I and @ Shortman5 (untagged) have been emailing with OVTune to figure out if our ECUs are compatible with the K-Line flash. If I hear a YES and receive the cable to load a tune onto my ECU, the blower is getting ordered ASAP. If not, I'll still probably order one, but my plans may change and get a 7th injector rather than meth.

@In4aride I owe you an explanation for Friday.

I had planned on making it to Montrose around 2 but my tow rig stopped building boost at blue Mesa. I limped to my buddy's house in Montrose at abysmal sub 35mph speeds and got there at 5ish. I ran back and forth between Napa and Ford collecting what I thought I needed to fix the truck before both closed at 6 then unloaded the taco and fawked off to set up camp in Ouray before sunset.

    I really appreciate that :)

Truth is ahm stubborn bitch and have a hard time admitting I need and asking for help because I don't want to be a burden. I am working on that but usually by the time I ask for help I am in way too deep

Didn't miss much in Montrose...except a bunch of hard rollovers.

Well there's your problem right there. GASOLINE goes in the Taco, not diesel!

I grew up with the mentality that if I couldn't be self sufficient no one would be willing to come and help me and the 4wd community has done a lot to teach me that isn't true at all.

I swear I filled up the Tacoma at every gas station I saw. Gas gauge always shows about half or less after every run and I didn't want to be "that guy"

I've accepted that he bought it as a father-son project with good intentions but it became my project in HS; I always hoped I could fix it up enough that he would want to spend time with me and take it out wheeling.

Even when it was in good shape we never went. He was "too busy". The jeep was never the problem. My dad was.

Is it over sharing hour? :luvya:
