Hey all, guess this is going to be a stupid question but going to JBAs website I don't see UCA for an 01 tacoma. Am I not understanding their "05" designation for the tacomas?

I totally love my Camburgs. I got the option for the MOOG oem replacement upper ball joint so if something does happen, I can pick up the replacement at any autopart store.

I stuffed 285s no lift and trimmed.. Also The UNIBALL stuff works great for dry climates and if you like to service the vehicle yourself

I'm in the market for control arms and just came across this thread. I see some people mentioning SPCs for the same price as JBAs, or close to it..but I can only find them for $629 everywhere and I see JBA is about $450? Am I missing something or has the price on SPCs gone up a bit?

Also, it sounds like SPCs are more adjustable than the JBAs, is that about right?

SPC changed their design and their price went up. SPC are more adjustable than JBA. JBA built in the approximate added adjustment into their UCA (for a 2-4" lift). SPC uses a uniball type ball joint. JBA uses a ball joint for a Chevy truck that's available in anytown USA. I've read comments that Uniballs can squek and read comments with no reported problems.

I went with high caster JBA based on the above information. I definitely wanted a end result with high caster. The JBA HC UCA's are in transit to me now. After I ordered the JBA, I read they are available unassembled and in bare steel versus red powder coat. I wish I knew that prior to ordering them. I have to mention that JBA's customer support is way over the top - outstanding.

What's your setup going to look like? Total lift, tire size, etc.

I'm looking to do 5100 with 888 coils, control arms, and 255/80/17 tires. I just can't figure out which UCAs to go with...I don't like the price of the SPCs anymore....but I haven't really seen or heard much (besides this thread) on JBAs.

Mine will be a constant work in progress and definitely "on the cheap" at first. It's a long twisted tale, lol. Some parts will be temporary, purchased solely on cost and some will be permanent.

3" front lift via strut spacers, sway bar relocation brackets, stock struts, HC JBA UCA, 1 1/2" rear blocks, scratch built of my design traction bars, 3" body lift (side steps to hide it, promised to my wife ;) ), I have 285/70R17 with 17x8.5 but I'm trying to finagle 35/10.50R17 with 17x8 but that ain't looking good for me now. Can you believe credit cards have limits? Smh... just seems like they should have built credit cards with no limits... LOL!

So I’m thinking about going with JBAs on my 98, I am running OEM steelies spare wheels of a 2002 Tundra. Current tires would be 235/85 R16 possibly going up to 255/85 R16s. Hoping to get away without spacers?
