As everyone is saying, if your going to modify just go OR model. If staying mostly stock then the Pro if you like what it has to offer.

A few clarifications: Dual climate control, blind spot sensors, and leather seats are all options on the Off-Road as well as the Pro. The snorkel is Pro only, and the Sunroof is not available on the Pro. I've had both (one Pro, two Off-Roads) and currently have an OR that I'm modding. I prefer the OR to the Pro, but mine was the original Pro and they are much improved now.

Hi everyone....I went to my dealership yesterday asking about the 2020 TRDPro tacoma and they had no idea when they were going to get one. They asked me multiple times and even called me later to see if I would be interested in a 2019 TRDPro or a Trd but I told them that I was willing to wait for the 2020s. What surprised me was the price they had listed on the sticker. Has anyone else seen this?

Adjust Market Value.... AKA: What the dealership prefers to sell it for. Also, since when do they charge $699 for the free oil changes and tire rotations? I thought Toyota offered that for free for the first 20k miles? I know I sure got it for free.

I can’t believe people pay the mark up on these things. Blows my mind!

Am I the only one not seeing the running boards? For that price they better be sliders.

Yes, but I'm not seeing them on the truck. Looking at the window sticker I'm assuming they are charging for them and they are part of the justification for the 52k price tag, yet they appear to not be on the truck.

Go with the Off-Road. You can't get a TRD Pro Long Bed. Everything else can be added to an Off-Road to be a Pro. But you can't add a Long Bed to the Pro.

Unfortunately here in the Southeast region SEToyota adds that to everything, can’t really get around it either, it’s additional services on top of the free services. Certainly not worth $699 though. Basically a royalty fee to Jim Moran for being one of the first to import and sell Toyotas in the US.

Bilstein 6112 front / 5100 rear (extended) shocks, Headstrong AAL, Firestone airbags, 4.88 gears, OME Carrier bearing drop kit, Aluminum 1/4" skids (engine to transfer). Custom sliders (1.75" HREW tube w/ 3/16" base plates). Custom front bumper and high clearance rear bumper (1/4" steel plate, 1.75" tube.) Apex 5500 winch w/synthetic line (36lbs) and required accessories for an underpowered winch (snatch blocks and extra line.) Tekonsha P3 brake controller, remote start, any-time-backup camera w/ front facing camera, Leer 100R shell (w/e-track single slot tie-down mounts for removable Yakima EasyTop.) Cat shields by CaliRaised. Husky liners, window tint, heated seat (passenger only.) Relentless bed rail brackets with QuickFists (shovel/axe/fire extinguisher.) Hondo Garage Un-holey vent mount. Anytime rear with front facing camera. Billet front seat risers. Viair 88p. 265/75r16 Goodyear Ultra-terrain tires.
This is a good point although the manual is not offered for the v6 SR or SR5 trims.

Something I rarely see mentioned is property tax.. where I live in Virginia my SR will save me >$4,000 in personal property taxes over the next 6 years (as opposed to the book value of a Pro.) Add that $4k to the $12k saved with my $29.5k truck (vs a pro) and that's a LOT of coin for enhancements.

The long bed and modding arguments are legit. Everything else is noise and bias.

OP, from your post it sounds like you want to do quite a bit of modding. The Off Road is your best bet.

I like this response and I agree. However there is something to be said for having a rear locker. Although I do believe with the tow package you get a limited slip which is just as good for most people and cases.

If I had to do it all over again I would go with the cheapest model possible and mod it to be my own. Although I do love my TRDORLB Premium with the leather, sunroof, and JBL.

Now that I look at the picture, you are right about the step bar. The truck in the picture was a 2019 TRD pro manual trans that was used with 8 k miles. Two owners since april. That was a little weird IMO and they were asking $43k. The sticker I posted was for a new one at the dealership by my house.
