    good looking out @JohnnyRed

Definitely might be an opportunity for winch on a discount. I honestly hadn't been considering the XRC series, I was focused on the X2O. No particular reason.

I'll have to keep track of prices; it might be prudent to pick one up before a bumper if the price is right.

I've been focused on the XRC because it's so similar to the X20, just cheaper.
Everyone I've talked to said their wireless stopped working on the X20 after the first winch out....so that's not a selling point for me.
The X20 dynamic braking only helps with extending the line, not winding the line (I think)....I've never encountered a scenario where someone needed to winch someone down
The X20 is IP68, instead of IP67. The difference here is pretty small:
67 Protected from immersion in water with a depth of up to 1 meter (or 3.3 feet) for up to 30 mins
68 Protected from immersion in water with a depth of more than 1 meter (manufacturer must specify exact depth)

    I got my X20c 10k for $470 on Amazon.

    No complaints so far.

Used it about 5x times, wireless every-time.

Really only 2 times were 5000lb+ situations tho.

Does anyone ever go hunting in the area?

Im not sure what there would be to hunt in the mid-west, but I'm dying to get out there and eat what I catch.

Oh yeah. There's a few WMAs in Kentucky that aren't too far south of Cincinnati. I don't know the public areas in Ohio that are close to Cincinnati, but I'm sure there are some.20190907_101054.jpg

Get your out of state license for KY. You can use real guns over here to take game with. Not some ancient black powder straight wall costs $3/round and noone has made that gun in 60 years junk. Ohio needs to change that for Columbus and south imo, plenty of terrain to stop a stray bullet.

I agree, southern Ohio is so hilly allowing rifles there would be just as safe as any other state.

I previously used a 357 mag in Ohio but this year I'll be using a 350 legend.

I’m an avid (KY) hunter. You want to know anything I can probably help you. I thought Ohio allowed straight wall cartridge rifles now??

Ohio does have a rifle season across the whole state. It has to be in the .4 size.

Yes, I was referring to "High Powered" rifles when I said rifles earlier. They switched to allow straight wall cartridges maybe 3 or 4 years ago. Historically there have not been a lot of rifles chambered for straight wall cartridges, but that's definitely changed a lot recently.

    Hey guys,
I live about an hour and a half east of Cincy, near hillsboro.
    Just found this thread.

Absolutely agree that we should be allowed to use "real" rifles, down here in the hills
the straight wall cartridges are hardly any better than a slug gun.

I purchased it from the original owner. He had removed all of the badges/decals. Only 104,000 miles. He had used it as a work truck (landscaping). Pics are before i gave it a good wash.
