Where did you get your skid plate from? I keep searching different places and I’m just hoping I’ll find someone getting rid of one to upgrade but no luck yet, at least for anything local to me in PA.

 

If they're steel just put a decent tack weld on one side of the bolt. That way you can still remove them without bastardizing your steps. Die grinder or even an abrasive wheel in your drill and your good to go. Just my two cents.

If you are going to weld them on you might as well go with sliders.

4 bolt and 1 pin to remove, absolutly zero challenge here! Easy peasy

 

Correct, but the first try usually ends up being a scouting expedition then they get serious. Not even the tack weld is foolproof, all depends how determined they are. The real problem is that by the time you noticed that someone messed with them they're gone. Thieves these days seem more determined than they used to be. Sorry to say it's a whole different world out there these day.
Both suggestions are worthy of consideration.
