Or wait 6 months and get it well under 40k.

I definitely could, but the thing is the truck I have now isn't a 4X4 and out here in Va we get a decent amount of snow. That and it's nearing 90k miles on it. Frontiers don't have the same resale value as Tacos do..I still owe a decent amount on it,and every time I hit a milestone with the miles, the price a dealership offers goes down,so I'm trying to time things so that it makes the most sense with no negative equity

It depends on how you rank and prioritize features/colors vs price. When I set out to get a Pro I REALLY wanted cement or calvary blue but I really liked the TSS update for 2018 so cement was out. Found a few calvary blues but they were all automatics and for me it was manual transmission > color. @Bob Laublaw is right you can wait for sure I know I did along with flying up to Washington State once I found a great deal.....

... Or ironically unless you have your heart set on it being brand spanking new it looks like from the 141 pages on this feed that a lot of guys with barely used 2019's will be trading theirs in for the latest and greatest which would allow you to swoop in and buy essentially the same thing, still under warranty that someone else had taken the depreciation hit on for you. Just food for thought.

The amount you'll save on a new OR by waiting 6 months is probably triple what the depreciation on your Frontier is for the same time period.

I drove a long bed 2 wheel drive with a V8, no traction control, and an open rear diff when I lived in VA. You can do eeeet!

Damn! The 20s are going up. I got my Pro for around that. I’d love to have power seats, CarPlay and the other goodies but feel good about my deal.

    Great build!

Niceeeee! I like hearing good reports from people in my area. What dealership? And what made you decide on a 19 instead of a new 2020??

I think that was already posted. It just gives base model pricing though. Still waiting to get official pricing on options and packages and how they shake out.

Pearson Toyota in NN, I had never heard of it. Ozzy and Greg are who I worked with.

I had my heart set on a ‘20 TRD OR in VB fully loaded... and then I started to see the process leaking out for what they were gonna cost and I was lien that’s damn close to Pro category.

So I determined if I could get a pro at a reasonable price I’d do that. Same color, but the benefit it would provide is in resale. Yeh you lose some updates of the 20, but I paid less than that fella that just posted above and he works for Toyota.

Here’s the other pro Pearson had, similar to mine. Check it out. https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/764730125/overview/

I had thought so as well but I never found it "straight from the horse's mouth" so to speak. Just links to articles without any source listed.

What dealer are you working with? I got mine at Toyota of North Miami and it was a really good experience. Not sure how things are there are now, but you might want to give them a try.
