    Yea the Genny says it can handle 9300 watts start up and 8500 continuous. It's doing fine with the chest freezer. I think it's just these stupid fancy fridges.

    Could be. A lot of filtering is done in controls circuits which translates to leakage current to a GFCI.

    We fared better than a lot did in my part of summerville. Lost power for 6 mins maybe. Few branches and leaves down. Others not so lucky.
