Can you post a pic of your truck? I wanna see what yours looks like with 265s. I'm planning on 285s but I'm open to every tire size for my truck

Still under warranty? If not I'd recommend searching the 3rd gen forum and/or posting over there.

That's big block v8 territory. You've got something wrong. Broken exhaust manifold, bad sensor, fuel injection issues, who knows. Get it looked at.

I too live in Charlotte and even with 33's, steel sliders, full steel skids, camper shell and roof racks I still get better miles than you. I would, a) double check your math, b) make sure there is not something else going on here, mechanically.

also pulling a trailer half the time, its a 4x4 conversion so i might have something mechanically wrong but i also floor it on wayyy to much of a regular basis

I pull a trailer a lot too, mostly between Charlotte and Asheville. That 4x4 conversion seems like it could be factor as well. Paging @ajohnson for info.

If you want gears do it, but it'll be a long time until you see the ROI between the high cost of gears, the cheap cost of gas, and the marginal efficiency gain. Cheapest option would be to keep your foot out of it.

lol i already had the 4.11 gears. took them out to put back in the factory 3.73 to match the front diff when i did the 4x4 conversion. i have a leak between the manifold and the catalytic converter on the passenger side too...

also what tires are you on? im on 33x12.50r20 mud grapplers so even if i just changed to an all terrain tires in the same size my milage would increase im sure.

Sorry if I don't understand, but why didn't you just put 4.11 gears in the front diff before you put it in the truck?
