All this stuff you guys want to do just sounds like more to go wrong. Personally I hate CC. I can see why some like it but I like to drive my own vehicle. I’ve only used CC once in my life and that was right after my wife and I got married and we got overwhelmed while going to the hotel in our brand new Vega and my attention was diverted. The Vega will tell you how old I might be and the more I read this thread the older I get. I mostly love you guys but I just need this truck to shift right, pull like a son of a bitch, and go faster than Roy Roger’s horse chasing a bad guy (bet some of you don’t know who Roy is).I drive in GL only because I hate At’s but my wife loves them. When we bought this truck I asked the dealer if rollup windows were available and was told it was an extra cost item. I’d like this truck to just drive right before I find myself in an old folk’s home sitting in a wheelchair with a set of Depends wrapped around me. Never will that happen.I’ll put my truck in CC and ride off somewhere.

Wait a second. I have not heard that and am now a bit unhappy. I plan on keeping my Taco as long as possible also. This is much of the reason that I wanted a basic 2017.

I got all your references, but I am probably not too much younger than you.

Note that you don't need to use CC to swap tunes. It will only work when CC is Off. Think of it this way, when cruising you can have a Base tune, and when messing around, a couple flicks of the CC switch will get you the Performance tune. If you don't want to switch tunes, you don't have to. What we don't know yet is if there will be a single tune option. That might have to be a Custom Tune request that @OVTune talks about on the website.

It's in the bed, but make sure you've topped off your CC fluid before engaging it. ;)

    Close! Ha!

The funny part is that I ride with some folks that graduated around then and they are way more gizmo nuts than I am.

I asked the dealer to check the CC fluid but he said it was an extra charge and I would have to wait for a qualified technician to do it.
I like gizmos as much as anybody . My wife says when we stop at a light people stare at the truck and then giggle when they seewho’s in it.
I decided seewho should be one word.

That’s one good thing about being older. I get away with a lot of things people assume I do because I’m old.
We’d better stay on this thread’s topic. Thanks for the encouragement guys.

As long as my seat vibrates every once-in-a- while I’m good. Those seat risers they sell are a real erection saver.
It’s been fun guys. Too much activity though. I have to take a nap.

I don't care about S-mode at all, but I would like for S-mode to operate normally if someone tries to use it.

I also have no interest whatsoever in GearLock. My truck is an automatic, but I have another car with a stick. And I've owned manual transmission vehicles for almost 50 years. I have enough trouble now as it is with driving the truck and sometimes trying to depress the non-existent clutch pedal. I really don't see any reason to add yet another variable into the mix... a lever to shift, but without the associated clutch pedal. We already have something as goofy as that in my driveway. My wife's Maxima... paddle shifters, that neither of us ever use because they're so stupid.
