Anyone else do this conversion that can verify this works? I'm at my wits end with my truck I hate driving it somedays.
I had the squeak start at 130k km on my 2012 while in the back country of northern Ontario. I am now at 180k km and the driving experience has worsened. I'm at a point where I either fix it or get rid of it.

Had I known this fuckery I would of bought an auto and enjoyed a 6ft bed.

Hey everyone, sorry for the delayed update and response on this post, I've been off grid camping/exploring the last couple weekends and work the past week was crazy and had no time to get on the computer.

As an update, I've got about 800 miles on this kit in the past 4 weeks. LOTS of seriously rough roads, slow speed crawling, fast accels and up shifts up on ramps to the interstate and onto highways and the setup has performed flawlessly. I've taken my inspection plate off on the side of the transmission a couple of times just to check it out and inspect everything and it all looks like it did when it was first installed. I've been more then satisfied with the enhancement this kit has brought to my 6-speed.

I've been chatting with Clutch Masters and they are totally game to do a group buy on the internal hydraulic release bearing kit. They asked if I'd be willing to organize the group buy since I have been updating these threads and chatting with you all about this. I am totally ok in organizing the group buy, only small problem is I am still fairly new to Tacomaworld and to post a group buy you have to have an account that has been active for more than 30 days which will be the case around Sept 15th. I had an entire post written up for the group buy but then that was the message I got when I went to post. I'll just post what I had written for the group buy here so people can get an idea of what Clutch Masters is thinking:

"Clutch Masters has asked me to organize a group buy for their internal hydraulic release bearing, or internal hydraulic slave cylinder.

    http://www.clutchmasters.com/n16078-h-tacoma-fj-ra60/

There's been some good discussion on this setup on this forum and on the fjcruiserforums. I've been running the Clutch Masters internal slave cylinder for about 800 miles now and it's performed flawlessly in every situation I've put it through its paces from slow speed crawling on difficult terrain to high speed fast shifting, it really has changed the way the clutch feels in my rig for the better. If you want to read up on the setup you can go check them out in the forum here:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/manual-2nd-gen-fix.624299/

and the original thread I created for the install on my FJ Cruiser here:

    https://www.fjcruiserforums.com/for...ydraulic-slave-cylinder-upgrade-6-speeds.html

The way the group buy will go is like this...If we can get 10 people to commit to purchasing the kit Clutch Masters will knock the price down for those people from $475 to $425. If at least 15 people commit to purchasing a kit they will knock the price down to $375. I figure we'll let the group buy run for a couple of weeks to see what kind of interest we can get on this. I will also post a group buy on the fjcruiserforums and the people who commit over there will count towards the final group buy number as well.

Once we have enough people who have committed to the group buy, I will get a discount code from the guys at Clutch Masters and distribute them via PMs to those who have committed. You can then go to their website and purchase the kit and use the coupon for it.

As a bonus Clutch Masters has offered to throw in a free oil cap if we are able to hit 20 people on this group buy. I had them make one for the 1GR engine. Will be available with custom laser engraving and several anodized color options including black, red, blue, gold, orange, purple, green. Alternatively if you don't want to get in on the group buy for the internal hydraulic release bearing, but want an oil cap, if we can get 10 people to go for an oil cap, Clutch Masters will do them for $30."

I think we can still start organizing the group buy if people just shoot me a PM and I will keep track of that info. As soon as I have hit 30 days on Tacoma World I will post an official group buy thread and update that with everyone who has contacted me and expressed interest.

So that's the run down, let me know if anyone has any questions or suggestions!

I'm in but have been out of work for a bit. Doing a shutdown starting on the 9th so should be good money wise once the buy happens.

I'm in as well. Maybe we can get a deal on their fx 100 clutch and just buy a package from them? I'll be replacing my clutch as well and would like to go with their brand.

Boost, armor, lights, big tires, no savings.
I'd like to be added to the list as well.
If we can get a package deal with a clutch kit, can they minus the included throw out bearing for a little more savings as that will not be needed?
And does anyone see specs on the various clutch offerings? Us boosted folks need holding force specs and such...

If you can do that, that would be great. Maybe you can just copy and paste my post about the group buy details.

Yep, Clutch Masters definitely offers clutch kits for the RA60/61 transmissions and I was thinking that could definitely be an option as well to just have a clutch kit and hydro release bearing kit option and save even more when you combine to the two. I'll definitely run that by the guys at CM and I'm sure they'd be happy to work something out with that.

For the clutch specs, you can go to Clutch Masters single disk page listing and see what the different series clutch kits offer as far as increased holding strength and what you can expect out of that clutch as far if it is a good street option or if it is for race only. Because we had everything I know they even modeled the flywheel that would be needed to run one of their FX1000 twin disk setups but that's probably overkill for most everyone here and there's maybe only a couple trucks out there with 1GRs making the kind of power that you would start to consider needing a twin disk to hold it all.

    http://www.clutchmasters.com/clutch-kits/

I've added everyone who's chimed in on this post and PM'd me with interest to my list. Looks like we're right at about 10 people right now so that's awesome! I'll probably just let this roll through the weekend and next week and see how many more people we can get on board. Lets try and hit 20 so everyone get's a free oil cap!

Another note about the clutch kits, we installed an FX100 in my rig and it's perfect. I'm still bone stock 1GR but I do drive on the more aggressive side and so far it's been great. The peddle feel of the clutch combined with the hydraulic release bearing is a dream to drive. The FX100 is an organic friction material so it had a slight break in period where there was a tiny bit of chatter on that bit of accel from a stop but now that the material is worn in taking off from a stop is effortless and there is zero chatter. For you guys that are supercharged I think the FX250 or FX300 would be a good choice. Although even the FX100 would probably be a decent option since the supercharger isn't bumping power up all that much and the clutch's in these rigs are massive to begin with!
