Bump out the garage into her bedroom, just high enough for the truck's front-end to fit into, and give her a "platform" bed. :D

My 2 yr old will come running out as I’m gunning it. She already is throwing a huge fit since I won’t let her stay in the “monster truck”

Had a go at solving the leaky air vents today. First I tried some foam draft excluder, but it is too thick.

    CA64DA26-11F9-4E25-8848-CEBB445C628D.jpg

Next I tried some auto carpet which is fairly thin like felt and used some carpet tape, which is double sided and very sticky.

    F222E48A-E423-449A-819C-2C7C7E971ACD.jpg
    905540F8-9C69-43B6-864F-E7C936F4B1D8.jpg

Only one louvre actually closes on the other, so it is simple to fix.

I used thin strips around the circumference to try and catch the drafts at the edges.

    6051046E-8182-4383-B580-E6EF0C17463B.jpg

This kind of works, but creates a problem. Now the vent will not rotate.

The final problem was the straight edges near the hinges. The carpet material was too thick for this area. So I tried filling the space with four layers of electrical tape.

Testing this out it seems like it has halved the leaking air through the vent. This means that with the air con fan at approx 50% you can feel the leaking air at about 6” from the vent, compared to about 12” from the vent.

Is it worth the effort? I’m going to have to test it out on the wife before I put effort into her other vent.

So I'm guessing heavy modding is out of the question just to keep the peace?

Well it’s already “heavy modded.” It’s lifted 2 inches, off road pro package, and bigger tires.

Edit: and 20k in “mobility equipment” ie a lift and hand controls. Now I just need to think do I put the crane in to lift my chair into the bed or just load it into the cab like normal. If it’s raining or snowing it will get went. It being my wheel chair

I was going to suggest something like this, but this particular company only makes them for full sized trucks. Dunno if someone else can do a cap for the Taco.

Cab... default to the back if the family is with you. One of my former Soldiers has one of those tracked wheel chairs, then built a snow plow for it. That’s gonna be my vote... ride that thing into the back then swing in from the roof like a god damn superhero.
