If you want fancy Cali school, go to UC Berkeley. Or USC.

It is pretty crappy, I'm not going to deny that. But it's cheap and it gets the job done.

To compare; USF, or the University of San Francisco costs approx. ~$65,000 per year.

My tuition is only $8,000 per year. This is cheap for California.

 

That's cheap anywhere, wasn't your high school more than most people's house payment per month? How'd you get away with such cheap college.

 

My private High School tuition was ~$20,000 per year. My K-8 was about ~$12,000 per year. My degree will be cheaper than my High School tuition over four years.

I got away with it because I went to a mediocre state school.

 

Your high school was just a touch under my college per year

 

Even with my housing, it's still cheaper than my high school per year.

 

I think Im all in $4k for my associates. Community college for the win.

 

Not really a good comparison, most jobs aren't interested in an associates unless you also come with trade training too

 

If I had to re-do college, I'd do my GE at a community college for two years then transfer somewhere better. California CC's have a program that guarantees you admission into a few decent UC's if you finish the program.

Everyone is just pressured nowadays to attend a four year.

 

But to pay $4k for 60 hours of transferable credits if you want to do a transfer program? Thats pretty good imo.

Im in a technnical program and getting on the job training at the same time, so I should be at the front of the pack when it comes time to find full time employment.

Bingo. I could feed straight into any state school if I did the transfer program. With how Im doing it, most of my tech stuff would transfer to a few schools. But all my GE's are transferable.
