    Is the 3.4 an interference motor? The P in denso plugs stands for a projected electrode meaning that the sparky part sticks out of the threads... otherwise they're the same plug

    @TenBeers the letters and numbers mean different things depending on the manufacturer maybe for someone else it means platinum? Haha I used to be a denso plug distributor (when I was a small engine mechanic) so I only know those offhand

    Wow :eek::eek: very good luck of the draw! I take it you were the second owner then? I'm only the 3rd owner of my tacoma and it got lost before it ever fell into my hands

    Yeah its got all these nifty facts and part numbers/ fluid levels associated with my truck written in it. Would remove half the threads on this site if people would just thumb through it when they had a question.

    I would like to eat a full serving of crow and admit I was wrong before anyone blasts me. You were correct, if the P is at the beginning of a denso part number it means platinum... but if it has a P in the middle it means projected.

    I NEVER ran into platinum because ... I mean who puts platinum plugs in a lawnmower?!
