It’s cool to like the OEM tires. They suit my needs too.

I am at 22500 on my factory tires. They have served me well and only had one nail puncture. And have never had a dry or wet traction problem. No complaints and I will compare them to other similar tires when it is time to replace in another 15-20 k by tread wear.
That being said I have run BFG mud tires and All terrain ko2s. I have run Mickey Thompson Baja claws in different off-road situations and at the time I ran them they all had a specific reason I thought they would help performance or legitimized off-road worthiness of the vehicle.
I have gotten older and my priorities are getting better. I don’t care that much about how a vehicle looks. I like my mudflaps and smooth running tires. I like having a vary cable 4x4 that can drive comfortable on the highway for long distances.
I will not talk you out of a good practical and safe tire that if you don’t have any complaints about will serve you well.

I also like the stock tire on my trd pro 4 runner..they did well in rocks and mountain, trails, forest roads and chip rock trails. Now that I moved back to flat Texas..the entire 4 runner seems overbuilt.

In the end, couldn't do it. Went with Wildpeaks taking advantage of 10% off at Discount Tire today and tomorrow. Online through Monday.

Grats on the sale. Wish I couldda waited for one when I got my Cooper AT3 4S's. Went to a nearby state with no sales tax instead. Scheduling pickup there for the Diamondback tonneau was more important than saving an extra 2% on tires lol. Expensive trip... :)

Swapped out at 1,100 miles, sold the Kevlar on Craigslist. Ended up with what I feel are better tires for $300.

Aaallllmost went with buying 17" rims and going wildpeaks for 33's, in the end the same potential problems with wilkpeaks you read about as well as the added ~$400 cost to gain a half inch of ground clearance talked me out of it.

Nothing wrong with the “devil you know”.

In past lives I’ve been willing to go to higher mileage tires like Michelin’s more for convenience on next swap. But 50k is 50k. Good.

If you are happy with them, I don't see a reason to buy something different...... except I'd probably get some Michelins as they perform well and last forever.

Me, I had the General Grabber AT2s which were a great tire, not much heavier, not much louder, performed at the camp better than my stock tires.

I now have the X3s and they are a great mud tire, but they are heavy, eat MPGs, and talk a little on the highway. They do scoot through mud much better though.

If they're working for you, roll em! They weren't up to the task for me, and I'd fixed 6 flats by the time I wore them out. BFGs for the last 20000 miles with NO problems.

Sell the wheels and tires as a set = $500. Then drop $1000 on a set of pro comp wheels and Falken A/T tires.

    None yet
    I personally like the OEM's.
    Quiet
    No squealing on turns
    Good traction
    No problem in the rain
Don't know about how they do in the snow yet though
