Fully understanding that I’m open to getting destroyed, here’s my situation: I can’t fit 285 nor 255s as is with my new rims, so im giving in to 265/70r17 for now....as a concession I’m kicking around the idea of MTs for a better look. STT PROs seem to be the quietest but want thoughts on running them with the only off-road being at an occasional music festival field? How “loud” is loud when running MTs on the highway?

Many in here would say they’re rather loud. Couldn’t imagine a tire with that huge tread being quiet.

Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)
Its pretty loud. Lets say this. So, I have an rtt, a snorkel, and St Maxx( which are not full MTs, but a middle ground between AT and MT) My truck is loud enough that the volume in my truck needs to be much higher for me to hear phone conversations clearly.

They’re relatively quiet (for an MT) until they start wearing down. I still love em though. When it’s time for new tires, I’m getting another set of STT Pros.

You wouldn't be the first guy to do it, and it's not like megaphone-loud. If the noise bothers you, turn the stereo up.
