Thinking about going to Bandelier N.M. in N.M.

Any of you folks from New Mexico recomend any places to make sure we see?

Sounds like a cool destination.
Probablly stay in Santa Fe again.
Great place to visit. We love going to ruins ans old cities.
Went to Chaco last year and it was amazing!!!!!

Rio grande gorge is awesome and of course the sandia tram. If you like to hike, the La luz trail goes up the front side of the sandia mountains and takes all day. Its really cool and you get to ride the tram back down.

 

Went to Albuquerque last October for the balloon festival. It was awesome! Also took an air tram ride up the mountain to God's country. There's a restaurant up there and some hiking trails. I don't remember the name of it, but I'm sure a local can help you.

 

Balloon fiesta is AWESOME! One year one actually landed in our back yard. It was so cool, we were out back riding bikes and they just came down yelling at us asking if they could land there. Of course we said yes lol.

Also that restaurant at the top of the tram is really good, but be prepared to pay.

 

Nothing in the world like seeing approx. 1000 balloons in the air at one time. They kinda of crash land anywhere they can, don't they? We didn't eat at the restaurant, but the bloody mary's are good!

 

They tend to eventually drift over the river to the west side of town (where I live) and crash land in the desert. You see all kinds of chase trucks out there trying to keep up with there balloons.

 

LOTS to do in NM.

Used to live in Albuquerque. Loved it. Balloon Fiesta sounds hokie - but it's really cool. Bandolier is great. Lots of trails.

Another vote for the La Luz trail in the Sandias. Hike up (3-4hr uphill) take the tram down.

Check out Taos and Red River if you make it that far NE.
