I hope that was done just to see if it fit! I don't think I would go too far like that. A trailer would be a wise investment if you have to not ride.

No, you dont. I spend alot of time (way more than I should) in the worst parts of Iraq, Afghanistan, and other not so nice places.

Well.. Is 300 miles too far? 4-2500lb ratchet straps to d-rings attached to the bed bolts, it didn't budge an inch & the owner was comfortable with it (& thankful for the transport)
You can't really decide where your buddy's clutch cable will break (custom length-3 days to receive), & you never leave a man behind.
Been hauling bikes like this for 30 years, & never had a problem, so haven't needed a trailer.
    Thanks for the advise tho...

My bike\chopper is only 7.2 feet long so it fits straight in with a wheel chock, i'll post some pics soon..

Two questions for you? How well does that bike carrier hold up? I have a 2 stroke as well. Also, how do you like that soft top, I am really considering getting one for my truck. Tell me about both of them please. Great pics BTW.

I have had my hitch rack since 2005 and have made trips all over the US and Canada with it. I have had no issues or failures with it in approx. 30K, I don't know what brand it is. The construction is steel hitch with aluminum for the actual rack. The Softopper is great the only issue I have had is a broken rear window in cold weather which Softopper took care of no questions asked. The best part was price compared to a hard shell and ease of taking it on and off.

Yea, I am looking into the soft top like that because i have dogs and stuff I want to carry in back but can take off when I want to haul bikes or such!

UPDATE: since the first pic I have relocated the Speedometer, deleted the Tach., tank lift, wire tuck, coil and ignition relocation, and removed some stock pieces. Still waiting on the new Joker Machine intake to come in, and a new triple tree mounted black bullet light.

Got a Harley about a month ago. Mods to date: Drag bars, Screaming eagle intake, Screaming eagle Race Tuner, HD tachometer kit, Vance and Hines short shots, inverted mirrors and relocated front turn signals onto the fork. Putting a Mustang Solo Tripper seat (black leather) on her tomorrow!
