    Looking to buy used and save a few thousand. If you check my old post, I show the one I've been eyeing.

    But while I have you all with me, (and assuming you have free time) take a look at this, seems too good to be true to me.

    Well, the leather seats ain't factory cuz 16 sport. It's a MT so yea got my vote there. Air rear suspension I'd do some further due diligence. Price is high but is low kms.

    @Manfred any of your NB buddies familiar with this buggeh?

    Only MT for me, but I'm surprised you think the price is high, everything I look at seems to be 35+ with less going on...

    Well, I'll defer to you on $$ since you're active in the market, me not so much so not keeping track. It's good news for me if I would ever sell...won't.

    Love my 16 sport MT. Done a lot to it from a drive ability tweaking sense, but just to taste. What's the manufacture date is a question I would ask. There is a CPS recall on early 16s, mine is affected but haven't pulled the trigger yet and all good. Also, you will want to update the ECU to 04b13. That one will either be 04B10 or 04B11 depending on Manufacture date. Either way, it's an easy update.

    Welcome to the HR Pufnstuf zone! Will be fun

    That's some very good information, thanks!

    I have a friend who's a toyota tech, he looked looked up the vin for me on recalls and codes, all seems good aside for some historic codes for the blind spot monitor.

    Guess i'm going to have to do some more technical research until I decide to actually buy one.

    Lurk mode remains active.

    Price seems to be hight for 2016 and it's got aftermarket lift and wheels by the looks. Used modded vehicles rarely a good idea to purchase, stock is always preferred. I would look into 2017 year at the very least, most issues were solved by then.

    Ya, cuz I'd like to purchase a stock version of anything of yours lmao. But the communist has a valid point on the 17...especially MT. No nanny tss stuff. Windshield still replaceable at the 300$ mark, not 1300$.

    17 MT, in many peeps opinion will be the last of the best.

    And Evgene has an 18

    Good job detectives - we have geographically located a Tacoma, what modifications it has, and almost identified the driver due to origin of the truck. All in an afternoons work and from a single photo, another job well done.
    :pccoffee::fistbump:

    Welcome to Tacoma World and to the Ontario BS Club! :D we welcome Tacos and Jeeps* of all kinds
    *by Jeeps i mean @Therby and maybe another JK that gets towed along the trails. we all wheel, that's all that matters.

    There is a Toyota car show going on this weekend on Sunday that a handful of us will be showing up to (myself included, bringing my Sunday best) which you don't need to register/ enter in but you can just hang out with all of us! so no need to lurk on the internet, you can lurk IRL near us.
    Mind you, we are a horrible influence - we WILL convince you to get a Tacoma :rofl:
    start a 2nd bank account just for modifications, you will be modifying the truck if you hangout with us, leave only enough for yourself that you can survive off of ramen for at least 3 years, the truck will be your new favorite child.

    Anyways, if you'd like to say hello to the lot of us and check the trucks out, the event is at;
    • The 7th annual Cambridge Car Show & Shine will be Sunday, September 8, 11 am – 2 pm in the North Plant parking lot. • Bring your car, bring your family, and come out for some fun and to help raise money for the United Way! • Event includes a BBQ, door prizes, awards, 50/50 draw, and dash plaques. All proceeds go the the United Way of Waterloo Region.

    Ontario pricing for custom plates are as follows;
    • 2 to 8 characters (letters and/or numbers) without a graphic — $310.00
    • 2 to 6 characters (letters and/or numbers) with a graphic — $336.40

    I'm debating which personalized plate i want to go with.
    Either;

    "TAKO MA" or "TAKO MAM" which from Polish literally translates to "Yes, I have" but is more loosely represented in Polish as "This is the kind i have" or "This is what i have" since it's a fun play on words for "TACOMA"
    OR
    "SHVEET" since I've used this Handle for over 10 years

    Ah yes you were the one asking about the RoadMaster anti-wrap mechanism.

    This truck has a lift, TacomaBeast headlights with the sequential turn signals, leather seat covers (as indicated by the little tag on the cushion)... Need to check the installation workmanship of all the mods up close in person. Also need to check for collision damage, flood damage, and water leak damage (from either the roof rack install or defective 3rd brake light gasket). Being a 2016, the bumper-to-bumper warranty is probably expired, leaving you with just the powertrain warranty.

    You can also be a douche and get one that says 1DAYSPAY or something, as seen on a BMW convertible several years ago. :laugh:

    Well that’s the thing I’m not driving it on far out overland expeditions or on the highway all the way back to southern Ontario. I’d drive it to school, around Thunder Bay, and on trails, so I wouldn’t want a big ass bike with power I don’t need.

    But anyway the whole ordeal is a pain in the ass so I’ll just stick to my truck. Can’t do anything vehicle related in Ontario without having to stretch your asshole wide enough for service Ontario, insurance companies and MTO to hop in it...
