When I first had my 3 gen, I was very disappointed driving hills, etc. It is all the learning curve....in other words putting the pedal to the metal...it has plenty of pep for a 3.5

Impressive numbers for the Tacoma, but we know 2019 end of year discounts had a lot of influence. I was scheduled to purchase on the last day in August, but the deal fell through. I ended up purchasing this month—September 2019. Interested to see how well sales go this month.

You nailed it! The bed looks too high. I took a Ranger for a test drive. It drove well, a little bouncy though. Nice acceleration.

Don't be so hard on yourself. The 3rd gen doesn't suck... it just has no balls. But hey...it goes really fast and has a really cool dash so there's that!:D No offence friends, just poking.

I wish they didn't sell so well because dealers by me won't give me the deal I want.

I went through the same thing the upside is if you ever want tradein or upgrade model yr the dealer will be all over you to buy it back with fair offers although this does get annoying as well. I have no plans in giving up my truck so please stop asking

I am looking specifically for a TRD Off Road 6MT in white or Cement at a specific price and the last like 5 trucks that I was dealing on got sold out from under me for more money so I am going to have to put on my big boy pants and pony up more cash. My only other strategy now is wait for deals on 2019s after the 2020a appear.

If you wait to deal till after the 2020s come out you may not find your color choice.

Nobody ever asked the Olympic champion how hard he was breathing to win. Winning is winning.

The tried and true Nissan Frontier August sales were up almost 30%. Pretty amazing for a vehicle that hasn’t changed in over a decade.

I love that it has outsold the Ranger so far this year too.

I learned the hard way that the dealer will find someone else to pay more money.

I thought the domestics are now reporting sales quarterly.

We won’t know how Ranger, Colorado or Gladiator is doing until EO September.

Yea they report quarterly to try and make the numbers look better. I think all the ranger is doing is taking Colorado sales cause they were in decline some

My 1st gen can be difficult to get used-parts for, 3rd gen is looking much, much easier because of these record sales.

By the looks of it, it will also need those used parts more than your 1st gen ever did.

Wow. Almost 10K more units then when I bought my 2017 at the end of Aug 2016. I am seeing quite a few more brand new Tacomas around here lately.
